2 days of greatness,I'm a birthday man today and I pick up the game at midnight

Happy Birthday! Played a little last night after the amazing Breaking Bad. This world is so huge, you just get lost in exploring of it. Next thing you know is its two hours later and you really haven't done a damn thing.

Thanx jaco,is the whole map unlocked right away?

Yeah its unlocked. My first cromplaint is the dialogue with Franklin and his dumb friend. Waaay too many n words and homies and mother f. It gets annoying and old very very fast

Really really love Michael. He's awesome, Franklin is great when away from his moron friend

Can you play as all 3 in free-roam after the intro mission or do you unlock each of them after a few missions??

Tommorrow is going to be one very very very long day of work.

The reviews are out. Lowest score is 9 so far.

It's the morning! No more sleeps! Just got to move house, sit around fidgeting all evening and then it's off to EB to pick up the game.

I think you win. Happy Birthday!

Yea I saw IGN gave it a 10 and is anyone surprised? Rockstar CONSTANTLY delivers extraordinary titles, especially within their GTA franchise. No other dev comes close to raising the bar like those guys at RS. Can't wait to play the game for myself.

You have to unlock them, this is why most of the free roaming streams have franklin only

I 've just seen a 10 & a 100/100. Good start lol.

Oh yeah I see on metacritic now there are 21 reviews. All are 100 except for 4 which are 98, 90, 90 & 70.

70!

I've been so busy the last six months, the wait for GTA V hasn't really killed me that much...but now it's less than 16 hours away I've got a rather giddy feeling in my gut!

I'm not gonna listen to any reviews anymore. Sometimes games get scored too high because of hype, sometimes they get unjustifiably trashed because reviewer expectations were way too high. I'm gonna try every game for myself now, even if they scored a 1/10.

Oh damn. Isn't installing games supposed to help performance? Is this just a bug? Or just the way they developed the game?

Installing games onto the 360 is mainly to help load times. This appears to be caused because letting the console offload some of the work onto the DVD helps it read data faster. Having it pull everything from the HDD seems to be causing issues.

I think one of the Halo games had issues if you installed the game as well.

The question is, will the digital version on PSN have the same issues?

Adam Sessler of Rev3 with a great review:

I haven't cared or paid attention to reviews in years,They are full of opinions in them and I don't give a damn about that except my own thoughts

"I can imagine, 200 years from now, like our reading of Dickens, the game will be regarded as a catalog of our contemporary travails, an accelerated reality bearing more truth than just gazing at our own reflection."

Damn.
