Regarding that kid getting the game, the 11 year old. Wtf is with children being so insanely happy about things that they cry like babies nowadays? I don't get it. Never once as a child did I cry over being so happy with a gift or something. I was all smiles haha.

Played about the first half hour. Huge improvement over the awful Gta 4. Shooting feels good, running feels good, and the driving is actually enjoyable. I've played as mostly Franklin so far. Gotta watch the Vikings hopefully win and watch my man Jim Furyk bring it home in Chicago and then go hit 18 holes myself than ill be able to play more

It's because they are spoiled.

Glad you're enjoying it dude, good to hear the driving is better.

I cannot stand the way some people play watching these videos. It's like they've never held a controller in their hands.

I know, it drives me nuts. Guys aren't using cover, getting destroyed by police and have no sense of what the map markers are for.

I just saw a crazy mission played on the stream. I'll put in spoiler tags.....

You play as Michael and meet a guy in a park campaigning for the legalization of marijuana. He gives Michael a joint, he smokes it, then goes on a bad trip where he has to fight off aliens trying to abduct him using a gatling gun.

It was trippy as hell and hysterical. :woot:

That's what happens when you smoke weed in the game? That sounds a bit odd....

Doesn't weed just give you the munchies? Why the hell would you be tripping like that just from smoking marijuana?

I couldn't hear the cutscene because I was watching football at the same time but I assume it was some potent medical weed.

Seems pretty obvious the joint he gets is laced with something else. Sounds like a hilariously awesome sequence.

Btw where are you guys viewing all these leaked game play vids? I'm havin a hard time finding many on YouTube

You mean the best reviewed game this generation? Damn, that's awesome. Can not wait to play this. Also, if ur on the 360 I highly suggest playing the game offline. MS is banning ppl like hot cakes.

Gta 4 can be the best reviewed game of all time for all I care. I found it to be unplayable. Yeah she is offline even though its a legitimate copy. The install takes about 10 minutes or so to answer the question above.

Regarding the teary eyed 11 year old and whether or not he's too young for the game, I think it differs from child to child. Each kid is different and with that, each parent should know whether their offspring has the capacity to play a violent game, watch a violent movie, etc. Some kids can hack it, some kids can't, it's the parent's responsibility to make that decision. By that same token, it's also up to them to take responsibility for their choice -if your kid can't handle it or the game is too violent, it's no one else's fault but your own.

I do too. As someone who works a 9-5, I'm eagerly anticipating Tuesday evening... unless I can find a reason to have a doctor's appointment/get sick/etc. :csad:

This is why you book the day off months in advance. This time around was a bit different because I only just started a new job, but that's what I've done for other games in the past (as it happens I did manage to wrangle Tuesday off anyway).

Haha the dude I was watching wasn't bad, he just wasnt really doing anything. I figure you are streaming the game, show off some of the new elements. The scuba, the planes, the combat etc, but this guy spent like 30 min trying to jump over a train while riding a dirtbike haha.

Ah well, the game will be in our hands soon enough. Can't believe the release is here. I can still remember drooling over that announce trailer 2 yrs ago.

I spent 30 minutes this morning watching a live stream of a guy using Franklin at a shooting range. 30 gott dam minutes shooting at bullseyes....

Is it laced with acid and bath salts?

That R*-made viral video the other night (the America's Most Wanted parody) featured angel dust prominently. My guess is it's actually in the game, including this mission, and has actual freaky gameplay effects. As do other drugs in the game.

So who all will be going to a midnight launch? I'm getting the special edition from amazon but my sister gonna get a copy from Walmart. REALLY hope she lets me play it first haha. So who else snagging a copy tomorrow eve?

I'm definitely going to the midnight release. Probably play 2-3 hours, then sleep and play all day Tuesday.

Moving house tomorrow, should be all set up in time. Might even manage to get a nice new TV beforehand, if things go according to plan.
