Just thought a discussion about the now revived film should be brought up. Yanno, Seth Rogen is attached to star and write the film. Sweet!

What We Know (To help our non fan people catch up):
  • Kevin Smith was at one point attached to write & direct. He backed out of the project after some initial artwork and script revising had been done. In a somewhat comical manner, he commented on why he left the project; "I'm not the kind of guy who will wait around all day to shoot one twelve-second action scene. That's not me. My talent doesn't neccesarily reach that far."
  • The project was more or less dead after Smith left.
  • In 2007, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg signed a contract to write the project with Rogen starring.
Wooo! :yay:

someone kill seth rogen before he kills the green hornet.

I didn't even know this thread still existed.

i didn't think hollywood would be so stupid as to give a movie like this to a dumpster fetus like Rogen.

He's taking the film very seriously. Of course, there's no confirmed fact that he'll star. I mean, he's written two outlines and already said that this is an action film.

Yeah... Except Seth Rogen is awesome.

Not wanting him in the role is one thing, but you don't have to be an ass about it.

I just think this is a huge mistake.
Seth Rogen can barley pull off comedy. I can't see him doing this and doing a good job of it. Its going to be catwoman quality, and the green hornet deserves better.
Rogen has never done anything to impress me. And don't throw Superbad or Knocked Up at me and expect me to change my mind.
Those two moves are whats concerning me.

I think he (Rogen) recently said there was a more comedic take and a more serious take on the character, and they are not sure wich one to do...

not to spoil your ego, but i doubt anyone cares enough about your opinion to attempt to change it.
