Looks like Berlanti has his next directing gig lined up after GL.

Warner Bros. buys Tropper novel
Bidding for 'Angelology' heats up

By MICHAEL FLEMING

In a sign that the book acquisition biz is emerging from its slumber, Warner Bros. won an auction to acquire screen rights to "This Is Where I Leave You," a new novel by Jonathan Tropper. Meanwhile, another major bidding battle could go into the weekend, as three studios compete to nab "Angelology," a first novel by Danielle Trussoni that sold for high six-figures this week to Viking.

The Tropper project will be developed as a directing vehicle for Greg Berlanti, who, after exec producing and writing such series as "Eli Stone," "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Dawson's Creek," will direct "Green Lantern" for WB. Paula Weinstein and Jeff Levine will produce.

Bond Director in Talks for Green Lantern

Looks like Green Lantern is on the move, and according to trade paper Variety, Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Mask of Zorro, Vertical Limit, Casino Royale) is in talks to direct. There's also a note on other DC projects.

"The emergence of Campbell, who also helmed two "Zorro" films and the 007 film "GoldenEye," puts "Green Lantern" at the top of DC properties being set for movie treatment by WB. While the studio is hoping director Chris Nolan will follow its 2008 smash "The Dark Knight" with another Batfilm, DC projects such as Superman and "Justice League" were expected to happen quickly, but have stalled."
