Ive been lurking for a while.
Let me start off by saying that I know nothing of Guardians of the Galaxy. I hadnt even heard of them until they appeared on Earth's Mightiest Heroes...or when the movie was announced...whichever came first

Anyway here are just my thoughts on the rumors on casting and such.

For Star Lord my top choices based on the rumors are:
1. Lee Pace. I just think he's a god actor who would do well in whatever heroic role he's given. He's funny, he has charisma, and he can do the dramatic bits well too. I'd really like to see him get a major blockbuster lead role like this

2. Joel Edgerton. Really liked him in Warrior. I havent seen a lot from him but I've had Animal Kingdom in my Netflix queue for a while and Im gonna see Zero Dark Thirty soon. He's another actor that I wanna see get a blockbuster role

3. John Krasinski. I was really against him as Captain America, but idk I woulnt mind see him in this. Im a big fan of The Office so Im down with the actors getting work as the series comes to a close

As you can see my choices are more who I like as an actor. I hope they choose soon. They have a lot of good choices that have been named so far

Plenty of time. Evans wasn't cast weeks before shooting CA:TFA. At least it seemed that way three years ago

So they are filming at Shepperton Studios in the UK. Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor 2: Dark World were also filmed there.
