Really, Sawyer. I'm appalled. Everyone knows Spock's alien juice is blue.

We have heard exclusively that casting for Gamora is underway, with actresses [actresses] in the running to play the character. These actresses are not necessarily on Marvel's radar, but they are going to audition.
lolololololol

Oh, internet

I don't know, but one of them tends to lie a lot. Like when they announced that Benedict Cumberbach would be Dr. Strange and the movie would be released 2014.

You know, this would make sense considering the ending of Avengers. He took that nuke through the portal and saw some **** you know? It would make sense that he would want to take that next step with his tech and go into space.
I don't know why people are interpreting this quote so wrong. First of all, the "atmosphere" is, by definition, NOT "outer space." Secondly, RDJ is pretty much flatly denying the presence of any cameos in that statement. If there's anything to be read into the "atmosphere" comment, I would think SHIELD's helicarrier.

Well you can't put any stock in denials. I mean, JJ Abrams wouldn't be directing Star Wars if that was the case. As for the atmosphere stuff, yeah I don't know. I just think it would make sense story wise if it was true.

EDIT: Also, the space thing is in reference to the "Deep Space Suit" Iron Man toy which is based directly on the movies costumes and not like Batman Winter Armor **** other toy companies do.

El Mayimbe said that one of his scoops just leaked and blamed "Damn toy companies" for it.

EDIT 2: There you go. http://latino-review.com/2013/01/29/exclusive-iron-man-3-toy/

According to El Mayimbe Funko (the toy company) is freaking out and Marvel has asked them to take down the toy pic. So confirmed I guess.

Okay... so, according to this quote from Mayimbe:

According to sources, at the end of Iron Man 3, Tony actually does go up into space to hook up with the Guardians of The Galaxy where I also hear he appears at the end of that movie as well.
Stark[BLACKOUT] goes up to space to see the Guardians at the end of IM3, but he'll only appear at the end of GOTG[/BLACKOUT]? Hmmm...

Makes sense as an ending to IM3. As a result of people targeting Pepper and Rhodey due to him, he exiles himself to space.

Then it sounds like [blackout]Guardians ends with them meeting him[/blackout]

And Avengers 2 would presumably feature both long-exiled Tony and Thor returning to Earth due to something Thanos related

GOTG taking place before IM3 chronologically maybe? It's the only way that makes sense since Iron Man is not going to be in GOTG.

Well, the galaxy is a big place and Stark probably won't know the Guardians' exact location. I wouldn't be surprised if the travel was long and he didn't meet them until the end of GOTG. That way he'd still be in the movie, but wouldn't be a member of the team. Which is something I don't want.

I'm thinking it'll eventually be Tony who introduces The Avengers to the Guardians.

**** just got complicated.:BA

How do you know he's not making an appearance? The whole point of IM3 is that Avengers (not GotG) opened his eyes to a larger universe, leading to some personal changes for him. Having him already know about GotG kind of kills that whole notion.

I don't. I'm just speculating.

Even though I got the gist of it based on people's wording, I think I'm gonna legitamitely avoid spoilers on the specifics of this. Sounds very interesting though...

I think we may have to make a separate spoiler thread or just make sure we tag things.

What if?

Peter Quill is someone from the Air Force or some SHIELD space related operation (SWORD?) that goes missing through a wormhole ala Crichton from Farscape and Tony volunteers to go find him (as a possible favor to Rhodey) because he needs to get away for a while. Far fetched, but who knows at this point.

Doesn't sound far-fetched at all. Especially not for the MCU.

Starting to think that Stark does indeed get a signal from space (or SHIELD), which leads to his desire to build the space suit and investigate the situation. I can only imagine he was intrigued already by his little adventure up there when he re-directed the missle in Avengers.

Put it this way, it helps GOTG's stock if Stark has some kind of an appearance.
