The one problem I have with this movie is the designs of the aliens. Most of them just look like painted humans and not aliens. Maybe its just me. Like yondu, drax, and gamora just look like the actors painted green or blue. They don't look very alien to me.

I agree somewhat. It's not a big enough gripe for me to not enjoy the movie though. The general audience will either accept it or be completely shut off by it. I think the former will be the case.

That is true. I guess you just don't notice it in the comics much.

That's what they are in the comics though. Then you have Groot, who looks like a tree. And then Rocket. I'm sure we'll see some other funky alien designs.

I agree. I was hoping for a real tree and raccoon too. Marvel can't get anything right!

I don't get the problem with the humanoid looking aliens, not to mention it's a huge part of the source material. Personally I love it and think it looks cool, especially when mixed with other types of aliens. Both Nebula and Gamora looks awesome from what I've seen.
