Was pretty sure that Rooker would come on board in some capacity. However, I'm a *little* bummed that GOTG will very likely involve time travel concepts. Was not looking forward to opening that particular can of (paradoxical) worms.

I don't think the general audiences are ready for another character (an alien one!) with Captain America's shield...

I don't even remember why he had it...

Still don't think it means they'll be time travel elements.

It's a big old Galaxy out there.

Yeah, I don't think it's a given that MCU Yondu is from the 31st Century yet; but I'm scratching my head about these "omg no time travel" comments. Time travel is part and parcel of GOTG, of the Marvel Universe, and science fiction in general ---- why would it be surprising or upsetting if it was included in, you know, a space opera sci-fi superhero movie, where it's just as natural as rayguns, spaceships, and green (or blue) skinned aliens?

Just a personal preference.

I'm well aware that time travel is a staple of both the comics in general (and GOTG in particular) and the sci-fi genre. However, I've yet to see it executed correctly without celestial-head sized gaps in logic.

I love me some spaceships, rayguns and aliens of various color. I would just prefer it if the MCU left time travel alone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't want time travel in this movie, especially because its going to come out a couple of weeks after another Marvel movie which also features Time travel.

Hehe. NOT looking forward to DOFP. Hmm, actually, I am. I treat the Fox Marvel films as entertainment. The MCU, on the other hand, is SERIOUS business, ladies and gentlemen! :)

Well Dr. Strange isn't a scientist, he's a doctor. And he's supposed to look and act like a ******** playboy before the accident. That being said, I hate the idea of Theroux as Doc Strange.

They're probably just going to make him a lonely and cold Doctor at first. The playboy angle would seem too much like Stark.

MCU is work. Fox is vacation. At work, you think before you act (or should), have reputation to worry about and want to get things right. On vacation, you drink expensive beer in the bathtub, watch Howard the Duck and go to Country Bear Jamboree... You do things you wouldn't do in the real world.

Completely agree fixxxer. Even GOOD time-travel movies rarely make any logical sense, even within their created world. No reason to go there, so hopefully they won't.
