The comic Joker's look is now based on Heath's. :wow:

Heath is officially my God. :hoboj:

YAH! I think theres another comic with Heath scars on the Comic Book Joker.

Eh. That's just a one shot they did for the mini-series "The Joker's Asylum." It was probably made to cash in on the movie, but it isn't the new OFFICIAL look.

I think it'd be cool if they added some sort of scars to the Joker like Heath's. It'd add on to him also having to live with permawhite skin.

Man, this Joker is so awesome. He's not even a pansy at fighting. See how easily he owned that officer he was in the interrogation room with?

I agree! :joker: :hoboj:

On another hand, which look do you guys truly prefer:

Batman Confidential joker has a chelsea grin from a Batarang that he gets before he falls into the acid.

it's not very noticeable and the way it happens is pretty stupid

Actually, I'd say the new "OFFICIAL" look could indeed be cut-smile Joker. If Grant Morrison's run on "Batman" is anything to go by.

I have that issue and if you notice, on a bunch of the pages, The Joker looks different on almost every page. The art in this issue was really crappy. I think that frame was just a nod to him but that's not how the Joker is going to look for now on.

Also, someone mentioned another comic (besides Batman Confidential) where he's going to have a Chelsea grin. That's for the upcoming Joker graphic novel by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo but they've been working on it for a couple years now and had the scarred smile design set up before WB released how Heath's Joker would look. I remember reading an interview with Lee and he said how after the first picture of The Joker came out, he was like "****, now everyone's gonna think we're trying to tie into The Dark Knight."

While I wouldn't mind comic Joker taking some visual cues from Heath's Joker, I hope it'll look nothing like The Joker from "Joker's Asylum". That whole issue had some really bad, inconsistent art.

I'd say that's sort-of a artist/writer interpetation then anything else. I mean, it was introduced in Morrison's prose issue, and the next time he appeared in the DCU again, Countdown, he didn't have a cut smile. The cuts are sort-of like the length of Batman's horns--as long as you have the horns and the basics of the costume, the editors really don't care.

I really think that they should take cues from Heath's Joker but also keep some cues from the original Joker.

Um, only the third panel looks like Heath. Four and seven look completely different

Yeah that's why that issue's art sucked. He looked like a different person in almost every panel. The story was really funny though. That series has been pretty cool so far. The Penguin issue was awesome.

Inconsistent art is the worst. But still, it'd be awesome if he maintained that look for the comics.
