Perlman is more of a Killer Croc IMO, however I would rather him just stay as Hellboy.

I think that Billy Zane would make a perfect Two-Face

Um, no. Billy Zane spoiled his chances of EVER being in a superhero movie by appearing as the Phallus, er, I mean, the Phantom.

I firmly hold the belief that Liev Schreiber wouldn't even be considered for this role if he didn't look like Tim Sale's art. He has a mediocre career, and only one of his roles has been critically applauded - The Manchurian Candidate. People cite that movie as proof that Schreiber can play dual personas, but that's not the case. He played normal or emotionless. There's been no sign he could pull off the evil side of Two-Face.

Now, there are other actors who look enough like Dent, and who are better actors with better careers. Personally, I think Joaquin Phoenix bares just as much resemblance to Sale's Dent.

Phoenix is one of the most versatile young actors working. If you really want to see an actor work a dual-persona, watch Walk the Line. The movie is fair, but Phoenix is an amazing Johnny Cash. When he flies into a fit of rage, he's terrifying. He has the intensity, the charisma, and the talent to be both Harvey Dent and Two-Face.

Here is my vote for Harvey Dent

i am completely thrilled that the Schreiber bandwagon has cooled in the latter weeks, so i am going in for the kill

tell me what you think those who aren't blinded by TLH

Clive Owen, he is one of my favorites latley Sin City and Closer are really well acted movies by him, wasn't all that imrpessed with Derailed but yeah

any one else like him, or dislike him?

I would prefer Owen for Black Mask, but he would work as Dent.

No. Voice is all wrong.

cause you can tell what dent sounds like from the comics....

it's not like he is going to be a british dent, these aren't clowns their professional actors who do what they need to do, he would work out the accent

Just cuz you can't hear the character in the comics, doen'st mean we cant have an idea in our mind of what the character should sound like. I had the same thought as Ronny just last night as I was watching The Pink Panther. Clive Owen has a small role in that movie, and I was watching him and trying to imagine him as Dent, and I just didn't like his voice. And while a small role in The Pink Panther may not be enough to judge his acting abilities, it still was his real voice (not to mention I've seen him in other movies) and it just didn't seem right for Dent. It's the same reason I'm against Jake Gyllenhaal, the voice just doesn't suit the character.

Schreiber's voice on the other hand, is one of the main reasons I'm for him as Dent. He's just got this deep, commanding voice that fits the persona of Dent, and of Two-Face. I can just hear him in my head saying "Two shots to the head. If you ask me, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy." I also think if I heard Clive Owen say that, i'd probably chuckle a bit.

Schreiber does quite the voice, and I know there are some Schreiber fans here that can't be shaken, but my goal, even though I haven't posted in a while and I'm not too popular yet on the Hype, is to hopefully, at least, get Joaquin Phoenix to a definite second choice too those who don't see him as first. He's got a commanding voice as well, and, as Brian2887 said, the look. Plus, though I've only seen Liev in "Manchurian", I belive Phoenix to be the better actor, while I've only seen him in "Walk the Line". But, his performance was great, and I use that as my reference for his "dual-persona" role.

Career isn't everything - acting talent is important. Granted, you believe he can't act - that's reason enough for your opinion. But don't cite his poorer career as a reason for not being Dent. There are thousands of brilliant actors who've never had careers past working in their local theatres while waiting tables, so consider that.

I consider Liev a very good choice, although he's not my first. I think Patrick Dempsey has the looks, charm, and physical talent to pull off the role.

I see exactly what you mean, but, a lot of the time, a bad career is an indication of lack of talent. Not all the time, but it's certainly a warning sign.

You support Lachy Hulme...

Touche.

However, I see a subtle difference. Hulme is a relative newcomer who has done most of his work in films that will never see America. Schreiber has done oodles of movies, mostly bad, with bad performances all throughout.

He still doesn't do it for me - he always gives off the skeeze vibe. I don't know why.
