The Dark Knight Harveys Insanity (Possible Spoiler)

Like I said, just a thought - I was merely speculating on why he specifically said, "There's no going back."

thats interesting... the only reason im SO sure hes talking to batman is because joker and twoface prob wont have too much dialogue if any seeing as how twoface wont be in it til the end.

Yeah - I thought it would be interesting if that line wasn't where you expect it to be. It would definitely fit in with Nolan's style

id love to see twoface under scarecrow gas....it wont happen but it would be sweet.

some of us have mentioned this in another thread...but rumors are soaring that rachel is killed by the joker... then a pregnancy rumor started going around...so could joker killing rachel, thus killing her and harveys unborn child, be what ultimately sets him off? well of course with the whole acid burned face:oldrazz: ....but wouldnt it be interesting to see harvey get scared BEFORE he actually goes crazy and becomes twoface?

it would be very sadistic if joker killed a pregnant person. so i dont know if that will happen, but its possibe...then in movie 3 it could be joker vs twoface vs batman...hey it could work...

it does seem like this is very possible, esp inthe type of dark film were expecting with numerous deaths.

thoughts? OTHER THEORIES?
That would be incredibly sadistic and horrible of the Joker, which means perfect. It sounds like an interesting idea and looking at the trailer again, she does look kinda pregnant. I think this would be a very powerful "origin" for Harvey, its a solid idea

:wow:

I just thought of something - perhaps he's talking to Scarecrow? It would definitely fit the line better than anyone else...

But wouldn't harvey going insane due to death of his wife/girlfriend and unborn child but a little too close to Killing Joke?

This whole "pregnant Rachel ultimately killed by the Joker" bit sounds great, but I really doubt they'd ever put this in the film. It's dark, but it really feels like the sort of thing that DC would be nervous about venturing into.

I remember hearing that they wanted people to really dislike the Joker in TDK, since so many were "rooting for" Jack-Joker in 89'. This is one of the things I can think of that would actually cause people, (me at least) to be disgusted by the Joker.

Aren't we forgetting that the joker is a homicidal maniac tho?

No, I'm just saying that, if they truly want us to dislike the Joker, then they need to push the envelope. The Joker murdering a mother and unborn child is just that.
We know the Joker is a homicidal maniac, but if he simply shoots a random man or stabs a random man, this for the most part, wont phase the general audience. However, If he brutally murders an innocent woman and her unborn child, this will really cause the audience to hate him.

I'm sure Maggie Gyllenhaal will be happy when we (or actually you, since I haven't joined the discussion until now :oldrazz: ) say, "the belly is there", while in fact Rachel Dawes isn't pregnant. :yay:

I see your point, but me personally would expect no less from the joker, if he finds out she's friends with Batman in anyway he's going want to take her out to get a reaction out of him, which could also explain Two-Face's reason for hating batman.

rachels gotta be in her third trimester, just look at they bellyyy!

Yeah good point, we have no idea at this point if Rachels belly is the result of a relationship with Harvey Dent or a relationship with a box of doughtnuts haha

i just hope eckhart (spelling) can play a good bad guy as well as a good guy.

I gotta admit the whole psycho Joker killing an unborn baby definitely seems like something this Joker would do but I dunno if it'll end up like this in the film. It's fun to speculate though eh?
