Has marvel screwed itself up?

Hahahaha, he got her back harder than a thousand wins in a thousand fights could have ever done.

You know seeing that I'm still not sure if I want to console Doreen, or give Wade a high five. I mean that was just pure and simple ownage on his part.

If this doesn't prove that Deadpool is awesome, then you're all lame:

Not "Pure and simple". More like "Severe".

Maybe we could have on character who runs around crying "Skrull" just like Crocker shouts "Fairy God parents" in that Nick Cartoon.

I have no idea what in hell you're raving about but; ok. :yay:

Marvel in the 90's was worse off, in my opinion. They had all of these attempts at making big "OMG did you see that" moments that it all became overhyped attempts at change, and they made their properties worse in the aftermath. I'm not a fan of some of the controversies as of the recent age (Spidey unmasking, Cap's death, etc.) but I'm not about to deny that Marvel's doing fairly well right now. The sensationalism will always be there, and you know that in the end even Quesada's regime has resorted to the power of a retcon when things don't work out (not to say I sit and pray for retcons every time I don't like something). Change is good...I'm just hoping that we remember this decade with some fondness in light of some embarassing stumbles. The material that isn't so readily recognized is what is sometimes the most deserving of praise.

Nickolodeon has a show called "Fairly Odd Parents" about a 11 year old boy named Timmy Turner who has fairy god parents that grant almost all his wishes. One of the supporting characters is Timmy's teacher, Mr. Denzel Crocker. Mr. Crocker is obsessed with proving the existance of Fairys, which is a problem because if someone finds out about Timmy's fairies he loses them. Mr. Crocker is prone to small fits during his rants where while says the word "Fairy God Parents" he will go through what looks like a small seizure ending up in several ridiculous poses to emphasize taht while he's right about the existance, he's also crazy.

no sure some of the crossover events have been a little sloppy but they were worth it.

If anything, this story is begging for the return of the Skrull Kill Krew.

I'd certainly think so. Either way, the current number is around 198. That's just plain ******ed.

Forgive me for not being as up to date with Marvel events, but did they have an explanation as to why the certain mutants kept their ability after the whole "House of M" event?

I would imagine the majority of the X-Men would be human again if the whole no more mutants applied to everyone and it seems that Marvel focuses on key mutants already and not so much outside the group such as X-Men, X-Factor,etc. I could just really imagine one a few hundred mutants in Marvel, not really millions of mutants, in the Marvel universe. I can see people that received their powers through experimentation, Captain America, or accident, Hulk, Spider-Man, and Daredevil, and cosmic or alien origins would keep their powers because they were not born with a mutation. I read the synopsis of House of M to get a feel for what it was like.

Is a skrull thing even confirmed yet?
The preview for the next New Avengers issue features the New Avengers discussing how anyone could be a Skrull. I'm pretty sure that's pure setup for a Skrull-centric event.

That and Marvel telling us the next event is going to be Skrull related.

i don't think marvel has messed itself up beyond repair. i have to give them credit for evolving the stories past the rut that they were in in the 90's. they made some major changes, and did things that will have lasting affects on their stories for years to come. i'm impressed they had the guts to do it.

I just love when these threads pop up. Marvel or DC do some stuff people don't like and it's all "OMG! Marvel/DC is messed up, let's come up with ways to fix it!" It happens at least once every 2 months.
