Hawaii Five-O - Part 2

Episode was pretty good.

But this season has a lot to make up for after the horrendous third season. The show's future is at stake.

I thought the finale would be the end of Kono on the show, but it seems like her story isn't over yet.

Also there's really no way McGarrett and company shouldn't be in jail at the end for what they did. Also why would the terrorists even let Catherine go without a scratch?

Sometimes the writing on the show is very lazy.

It was certainly an action packed premiere, fun stuff. I'm surprised and pleased that Kono seems to be sticking around, my guess is Adam gets bumped off and she returns to Five-0.

I'm also glad McGarrett is onto the theory we've all had for nearly 2 years and is actually taking a logical direction given his Mom's actions.

Are Chi McBride and Autumn Reese going to be season regulars?

Now that they no longer have immunity I agree on the first part, also that SUV Chin was in must have had more armor plating than The Beast given the amount of M16 rounds that were emptied into it.

On the Catherine thing though there was no need to kill or harm her further, they had gotten what they wanted, if they'd killed or badly hurt her McGarrett was going to hunt them down, and on top of that she is US Military, you don't bring that heat on yourself unless you have no other choice.

Yeah but McGarrett hunted them down anyway :D . They should've anticipated that considering they even anticipated a tail trying to come after them even though McGarrett gave up the terrorist prisoners.

Tonight's episode did answer some lingering questions and put some new possible storylines into play. Big one was [BLACKOUT]Wo-Fat is not Steve's half-brother. This really leaves open more avenues for why Steve's mom has been protecting him.[/BLACKOUT] Probably makes seeing Doris later on a guarantee. Adam and Kono are on the run so I think they'll likely end back in Hawaii with the Yakuza hot on their tails. Could be an interesting story should pursue it. Catherine took the job with her ex-Navy friend so I see that eventually being used as well.

Really good second ep, this season has started well. I liked the central story, the baseball stuff and the through-line's with Kono & Adam as well as McGarrett putting to rest the long running theory that him and Wo Fat are brothers.

I'm also intrigued by the ex Navy friend of McGarrett bring Catherine into his Private security business, that surely will lead somewhere more than just him trying to steal McGarrett's Lady. In truth it took me a minute to realize he was the guy from last seasons finale that randomly popped up.

Kono taking out the 3 Yakuza Hitmen was awesome! :hrt:

It really feels like the team behind the show are acknowledging the stuff said by fans and are trying to right the ship.

Next weeks looks really good as well!

He was also Michael Knight, and maybe he wanted to take Catherine for a spin in his KITT.

:funny: There's only one Michael Knight!

Well Justin Bruening was technically Michael Knight Jr. Maybe he'll still perm his hair like David Hasslehoff for Hawaii Five-0. A security specialist needs a good perm. It's a job requirement.

This episode had a great Lost reference between Daniel Dae Kim and Jorge Garcia.

They're old friends, having met in band camp as kids. There was a reference to how tiny the tents were at camp and that it "felt like being stuck on a deserted island for an entire summer." :funny:

Also this is a funny typo:

Loved this weeks ep! The story was a fun adventure, one of my favourites in the series, Jorge Garcia will hopefully recur.

Steve is really going to need to keep his eyes peeled as Cat was doing as much googly staring as Billy during her presentation. :sus

I wonder why they brought Autumn Reeser back for last seasons finale, she hasn't been seen at all so far this season.

Btw the stunner who played the dead too soon Kaylea Van Horn is called Jesiree Dizon, for those interest. :D

Have to say they've put 3 good, interesting episodes out to start the season. Hopefully they can keep this up.

Yeah it has been a very good start for season 4, the promo for ep 4 gives nothing away though, just some dialogue between Steve and Danno.

Danno is gonna be saying I told you so to Steve before the season is over regarding Cathrine

Another solid case this week and I like how they filter in the Kono stuff, I imagine this will eventually lead to the team going all out to help her against the Yakuza, but I don't know why they brought Autumn Reeser back just to write her straight out again. :(

I'd imagine they aren't going to keep Kono out of Hawaii that much longer. Either the team will go to her or she'll come to them for help. I have a feeling though that Adam won't make it through in the end and their relationship will end tragically.

I noticed Grace Park is still in the opening credits even though she was supposed to be leaving this season. I would have thought she'd be a guest or special guest star instead of part of the main cast.

Michelle Borth isn't apart of the team yet either though she's now in the credits which I was expecting to happen as a replacement for Park. Maybe I misread it and this is her last season with her character being written off next season? Kona's story still is getting concluded I guess.

^^^ Is there any confirmation that Grace Park is leaving the show or is it just based off rumours a while ago and the way last season ended?

Yeah I have a feeling that it may end up with the team in Japan for a special two parter to finish this story off, and I agree, Adam wont make it through.

Reading back, the finale trailer states the team would be down to 3 and everyone assumed Grace Park was leaving the series likely because she disliked living/commuting to Hawaii for filming.

There was nothing to say she was leaving the show but it sounded like that from the ominous ending. Looking around the web, I can't find anything stating she was leaving the series. It appears she's only left the team until the writers decide to bring her back into the fold.

There was never any solid confirmation that she'd be leaving or disliked being in Hawaii for much of the year.

As for Borth, she was in the opening credits last year as well so she's a solid piece of the show for the time being.

It looks like they are focusing more on the McGarrett/Catherine relationship this season.

Nothing was solid but it appeared to head in that direction.

And I know she was in the opening credits last year but thought she'd move up with Grace Park leaving, which is not the case. They've stayed fairly static this year compared to last year's.

I watch this show for the characters and the action mainly...and I will be sad if Kono leaves. :(
