I'm asking if they are. The song they've used suits a Louisiana setting. Maybe they'll pick a new one because season two will be in Los Angeles, right?

Not LA but other locations in Southern California though.

The first season's theme was perfect is there word whether T-Bone Burnett is being brought back? he was responsible for the shows amazing music selections.

Oh I hope so. I bought a lot of the songs he chose.:)

Surprised there's so much of a wait for the rest of the cast to be announced.

Are they filming yet? If they are then they should already know who's playing whom, right?

are they trying for a spring premiere again? that would mean a trailer coming sooner than later... not sure what HBO shows are premiering/ or finales to have a trailer with though.

I heard this got pushed until summer. :(

don't be sad... that just means the Game of Thrones premiere will have a True Detective trailer and destroy the world

or pretend True Blood never existed

True Blood was good far a couple of seasons anyhow. :p

Yes, True Blood started off decently and only started to suck once
they started chucking every supernatural element and the kitchen
sink into the mix. I walked once fairies showed up.

Anyway, just binged the first season. I usually avoid
cop shows like the plague but I went with this because
it's HBO and this show was awesome right up until the last episode
which was frankly rather a let down. But still I'd give this season
a 9/10.

I thought it was pushed until Fall 2015?

Which is really fine with me. I want them to focus on creating the best possible story and not have this rushed in any way.

When they officially announced casting a month ago they said filming would start this fall for a summer airing. I haven't seen anywhere that filming has officially begun but they still have a lot of time before June.

Fall? Lord I hope not. I didn't even want to wait until summer. :waa:

I'm finding that it is a lot easier to wait for season 2 with the anthology format. I have season 1 and can watch Rust and Marty's journey anytime I please.

Waiting for season 2 is easy. Merely curious about the direction and tone of the story and characters. I have no problem waiting longer for a quality product and if it's a dud I still got season 1 to fall back on.

Don't know where he heard it, but a guy at work told me he heard Taylor was only going to be in one episode. Lord, I hope not. :(

According to a quickie interview at the GQ Ball Kitsch has NOT been confirmed but there will be an announcement in a couple of days either way.

I agree. It's a series made up of miniseries whose only connection is similar subject matter. I love the idea and how it can help get actors to do it who otherwise wouldn't be willing to commit to a regular type show. I wonder if each season is going to maintain the 1 director for the full 8 episodes thing that season 1 had. As I understand it that's quite unusual for a TV show. But it worked well.

I thought Justin Lin was confirmed to direct every episode?

Only the first two.

Supposedly they want the directors to do back to back episodes. Lin is supposed to do eps 1 and 2. No others have been announced but William Friedkin was rumored. *fingers crossed*

The back to back episodes thing isn't a new strategy on HBO. Game of Thrones has been doing it since day 1.

Pfft... 24 has been doing back-to-back since 2001.
