I also just saw that they might be eyeing Kitsch for the lead role.
This is just depressing.
This is just depressing.
The second season of True Detective will follow the death of Ben Caspar, the corrupt City Manager of a fictional California city whos found brutally murdered amidst a potentially groundbreaking transportation deal that would forever change the freeway gridlock in California. Three law enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government are tasked with finding out who did it. They soon discover their investigation has much broader and darker implications than they initially thought.
A modern day Chinatown it kinda sounds like.
This is my question as well. I hope so.So is this confirmed now? it seems like there have been so many confirmations of cast and non-confirmations the past month.

LOL, a near naked shower scene doesn't constitute an actual banging.I believe it was a near miss only.Kitch was amazing in The Normal Heart. Gambit banged Banner.![]()

I guess I could live with Vaughn in this if the other actors have a lot more screentime, and it sounds like that will be the case. I like Farrell, Moss and Forbes, and Kitsch might be okay.
Kitsch is awesome man, Carter failed for other reasons, not him. Can't blame a guy for trying to cash in on his fame. Gambit was bad but again he wasn't the worst thing in that movie and he could only do so much with what the script gave him. His head had to be in his bank account when it came to battleship to but when he wants to act he is damn good.

He was also quite good in Savages and Lone Survivor.![]()

I'm surprised about it being another murder mystery. And here I thought Pizzolatto's comments about the Californian transportation system were a joke back in March.
Hopefully the satanic symbols and the occult aren't too similar to what we had last season.
My favorite aspect is the fact that three law enforcement agents form three different sets of government have to work together to find the killer. That's already unique.

Oh yes, I can blame him for having the charisma of a piece of driftwood in John Carter. Granted, the film had a slew of problems, but I found Kitsch to be the biggest one of all. He was just lifeless in that role. And when you add in his Gambit character and his character in Battleship... you could argue that those movies would have sucked anyway (and you would be right) but he was still terrible in them. He was good in Normal Heart though so... maybe he's improved. I hope so, at least.
