Great episode indeed. and yeah Frank was great tonight. Totally in didn't give a **** mode and I loved every minute of it.

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. So many plot threads finally came together in a satisfying way.

"wow" as in wow this is a terrible ****ing season.

Vince was good.. but theres not **** else to even pay attention to. its the most boring season of telelvision i have seen in a long time. Thank god Ray Donovan is on tonight

This season has had its problems, but it's not unwatchable. :(

Nope.

Even if it's been disappointing for some, it's definitely not terrible.

Anyways, I also thought tonight's episode was ace.

Lol yes indeed but this season is ok

Not unwatchable because vince is doing all he can to save it... but its ****ing terrible.

The hyperbole in here never ends. Just stop watching it already.

Some of you guys are starting to sound like the radio listener who always tunes in to the DJ he hates.

IMO it's not even being remotely objective to hate on every single episode. Sure there have been a couple draggers, but overall there's been plenty to enjoy as well. There's so much that's been going on for the last 2-3 eps, I don't know what some guys think they're watching.

Well... I'll be honest, the season is such a let down from season 1 it is hard to enjoy. Season 1... **** really got going and I KNOW I KNOW, the season is supposed to be a completely different show... but the drop in quality is startling and simply disappointing. Matthew and Woody owned ass all season long, and no one has even came close to keeping people interested. It became a show to watch in the background while you are playing Xbox or something.

I've enjoyed the past three episodes.

Good stuff.

I still say people "mis-remember" how Season 1 transpired. There was just as much drag in spots as Season 2.

Season 1 had more focus between the show's protagonists because there were only two. So it excelled with the Martin and Rust interactions. Season 2 on the other hand has less of that but that is because it's rich in all kinds of characters and far more action.

I did think this episode was a lot better.

I didnt like how Woodrow died. Just felt like it was done to raise the stakes for the finale.
Also didnt like how McAdams and Farrell hooked up. I mean I guess it was bound to happen. In a movie or tv show, it's rare for 2 attractive single people of the opposite sex not to hook up. Plus she was a nympho...i mean they didnt outright say it but it was obvious

So why the **** do you even watch. Just move along then. God so ****ing annoying.

Now, that was a damn good episode. Doesn't make up for the **** that came before, but it was an improvement.

My opinion on this season has been mixed, at best. But tonight's episode was excellent. I would even go so far as to say that it was the only episode of the season that maintained my undivided attention. As Marvolo says, it might not necessarily make up for what came before, but it does have me excited for the finale. Which is a definite improvement. It also helps that this was Frank's best episode, by far. He had been kind of an anchor, weighing the show down a bit. But this was his standout episode.

Sucks that we didn't get to see
Woodrough's storyline get some closure like we did for the Rust/Marty in S1.

Great episode, but a little too late I think. Having this state-wide conspiracy thing is cool and Paul was a freaking badass this episode.

Oh and I didn't like Ani and Ray hooking up either. Kinda felt bad when Paul was doing his own hero stuff.

Best episode yet, but that's a low bar.

Sucks they got rid of the second most interesting lead, but at least Vince Vaughn has been given something to do other than spout out nonsense dialogue that he fumbles with every time.

That was a terrific setup for the finale....a 90 min one no less.

Sucks about Woodrough. But they were so cornered after the raid that I didn't think they all were going to escape unscathed. I just hope his poor widow doesn't get crushed even more emotionally by his mother. She's gonna be raising that kid on her own now but she doesn't need all those demons on top of it all. When he put them into hiding together, I was like "this is gonna backfire badly on him".

I get why Ani and Velcoro hooked up. The hints were dropped way back in the 3rd or 4th episode. Sometimes two extremely damaged people just gravitate towards each other and find some love and connection. It makes me believe that was their last "human" moment they will experience.

And judging by the preview, it looks like Frank may take out the mayor. He's seen grabbing the girl the mayor was flirting with in the casino with gun in hand while she was screaming in horror with something off screen. If Frank does indeed kill that *******, it will be one of the most satisfying kills of the season. It looks like Frank and Ray have one more run in as well. Hopefully Frank tells Ray who really raped his wife to give Velcoro some closure.

Totally hyped for the ending. Is this as phenomenal as S1....no. But this season has it's special own charm and unique feel to it so it's better than 90% of what's out there in terms of crime/dramas.

Episode was pretty great, exactly what I wanted it to be, more or less. Here's hoping the finale is even better...
