Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - Part 11

What could Paramount do if Cavill shaved it off? Sue him for breach of contract?

Yes especially since he's contracted for it from the sounds of it.

If anything, WB should reshoot all of his scenes to add the Stash.

I'm tellin' ya, after seeing Cavill with that 'stache for 2 minutes, no one's gonna be complaining about continuity. They'll be too busy admiring the beauty.

Who would have figured Cavill's schedule would be the one most difficult to work around out of the entire cast? Last year he mostly just wandered around posing for photographs.

It seems odd to me that their go-to is "CG the hair off his face" rather than "Let Supes come back with a beard"... I mean, it's better than a mullet. :o

Although, with all the s*** that's been done with CG, up to and including resurrecting dead actors, CG'ing the facial hair away can't be that difficult, can it?

To upgrade to a beard would probably be a lot more effort than it'd be worth due having to reshoot every scene that he has no facial hair in.

If people can make talking apes look real, a little stache should not be a problem.

Too bad Henry's role in M:I 6 didn't require him to be bald instead. Probably a lot easier to just give him a wig than to cover his mustache.

Momoa reassuring the young fan he possibly discouraged earlier that Superman's still alive.

Wasn't having 'stache in first place for MI:6 villain Cavill's idea ? He must be regretting that decision now.

That pic of him in the supes outfit drinking coffee now fits with the reshoots tho. So cheer up you lemon supe fans.

But the question now becomes on whether Henry was doing reshoots while the other cast members were there as well or whether they just brought him to do shots of him via Green Screen (flight sequences).lol

He was rumored to be courting it and Jane Goldman pretty much confirmed that last week.

There's a part of me that just REALLY doesn't want them to miss the window for Cavill to get a great Superman performance under his belt, because I honestly believe he has it in him if given the right material. But the longer they drag their feet, the more likely it is he'll age out of it before he gets a chance. Supes isn't a Tony Stark-like role - it has major physical requirements that don't make it likely for someone to play it through their 40's and 50's. I mean, Chris Reeve headlined 4 Superman films and he was only 34 in his last one. And their current slate covers the next several years, so seeing no Supes there is disheartening indeed.

I really hope they're just holding an MoS2 announcement off until his return in JL.

I understand the physical requirements arguement, but also just to assure you if he is really outta shape they could cgi his body and still make it work.

I kinda think it's Paramount's way of flexing on WB, for the period they have absolute control. I don't see another plausible explanation for refusing to concede on this.
Yep.

I just can't believe this is happening. You all aren't just joking right? Like, this is legit?
