Superman could have the mustache that Marvel were afraid to give RDJ as Tony Stark. They gave him the goatee instead, but Stark started out with just the mustache in the comics for decades.

Would it cost less for WB to have a fake moustache made for Henry to bring back with him to the set of MI:6 than to digitally remove it in post production? It certainly has to be less painstaking.

And if it costs less to pay Paramount for the loss of moustache than removing it in post, then why not go for that?

Some of this might depend on how many scenes Henry is actually filming as part of the reshoot. Are we talking a scene or two? Is it even more? Is he filming a couple of scenes where they're supposedly digitally removing it and then finishing MI6 only to film a few more without any CGI trickery?

That's how Superman will look in the movie, it's blurry as they had to use CGI to erase his mustache in the post production and they didn't have much time to get it right.

Exactly. It's not like they could have just ignored the fact that he has one as fans being over picky and let him keep it and then have footage which doesn't match. Either he has one or he doesn't. It seems easier to add a moustache digitally though than remove one.
