Now to see if THIS update from Cavill gains any traction from outlets or if the Mustache-Gate will still be talk for a few days. Either way, glad to see Cavill and other folks pushing back a bit faster on certain headlines.

DAT Cav-El :ilv:

EDIT: I love his hashtag #MoustacheImpossible

See, now why can't Cavill show more humour as Superman/ Clark Kent?

I think they should give him the moustache as Clark Kent but he can be without it as Superman. Unless it would work better the other way round. It would help with the disguise in any event.

I can't really see that happening brother. The glasses are one thing but going from beard to clean shaven. Meh

I think it could work.

After all, this is a universe with flying people, aliens, fish people, Greek goddesses, speedsters. So why is it suddenly implausible that someone can have a moustache in his civilian identity but not when he becomes the hero? He could either stick it on as Clark, or could gain the ability to retract his moustache hairs when he becomes Superman.

In Trial of the Incredible Hulk, Banner had a beard but when he Hulked out it disappeared.

Seriously Raven? Retractable moustache?

Tony Stark's Extremis armour allowed him to retract it into his skin and store it in the hollows of his bones. Superman could have the Kryptonian equivalent of an Extremis moustache that he can retract as and when needed. His moustache could contain nanotechnology.

I'm genuinely not sure if you're joking or not.

In any case, CBM or not, some things are just too ridiculous.

I am intrigued by that pic, what is that ?

Looks like a circular light platform to simulate nighttime lighting. If you look on top right, it looks like a structure where the actors/stunt people are on. So very likely they are on top of a building where they want to simulate city light.

Well werewolves have the ability to retract their hair when they turn human again. It must go somewhere. If Superman gets bitten by Steppenwolf, he could develop minor wolf-like abilities for his moustache. Or maybe Steppenwolf brings him back to life.

He could be Stacheman instead of Superman.

I should've clarified. Nanofibres specifically. Each strand of moustache hair would contain special Kryptonian tech. It could be what keeps him alive, so the result is that he has to wear a moustache periodically in order to survive.

Soooo...we're just gonna ignore how Cavill mocks the whole 'moustachegate' thing....ok.

So the mustache is DC's version of the arc reactor...

I guess so, although they would call it the Stache Reactor.

If Superman ever fought Batman again, then just like Cap pulled out Iron Man's arc reactor, Batman could pull off Superman's moustache.
