Justice League Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - - - - - - - Part 17

considering Amy is probably winning both Oscar and an Emmy next year and there are fewer opportunities to screw over women financially these days these are the negotiations WB should worry about :D

Amy should be one of the Producers for Superman movie. That gives me an idea for the title of next Superman movie, name it as Lois and Superman : New Adventures of Clark Kent.

We might get an Alfred TV spin off AND a cinematic Lois spin off lol. I think Lois turns into a superhero in the comics too, that's probably why they wanna make Henry be the Nick Fury of DC - cameos in Lois movies, Alfred shows, Perry White documentaries, General Swan's Martian Manhunter movie....just no to MOS2

Just finished viewing MOS2, what a gorgeous movie, visuals are above a bunch of superhero films that came after, epic score, some bloopers in the middle, but the final fight is not as wild as some made it out to be, like all the debate made me remember wrongly that Clark caused 10 buildings to knock onto each other and crumble, he actually just went through the side of the the buildings, they didn't collapse, now a lot films are in your nose about taking fights to abandoned grounds, it's just a movie, really.

And he actually saved like the whole world punching the Hype Engine and that Zod heatfire was getting awfully close to the family and the dad was protecting the whole family, I would have probably snapped Zod's neck too, unless 1 second of tight decision making is 10min to Kal-El, but boy imagine what the dad must be thinking with the heatfire inches away from his spine.

They should however have added a moment of the dad or mom nodding to Lois (Kal-El's face was buried in her tummy) like people debate about the snap but they kinda forgot about the potential victims.

And I think that dad looks...Indian or Latino....?? That's some diversity right there, years before the whole diversity thing became a thing for blockbuster films (ZS also filmed girls kissing in Watchmen prologue in 2009, before it became a little more mainstream and some people started doing it to show they're cool)

I understand the how some of the general audience might hae been shocked by the damage to Metropolis in MOS, but I don't get how fans could have been.
MOS just did what had been done in comics and catoons for years:

[YT]MnCzcOV7QQQ[/YT]

[YT]6BJ1-trrgqc[/YT]

[YT]XwU0QkcrNVQ[/YT]

There was plenty of precedent for Superman fights knocking down buildings, MOS didn't invent it.
Fans had been saying they wanted fights like this, then complained when they got one.

Who knows what the details are but most of it sounds like hardball negotiations that both sides are correct in engaging. Last time, CAA negotiated his Superman deal. Now you have Garcia. He is also with WME. I expect cooler heads to prevail. My only concern on the part of Cavill is if they're so aggressive WB decides they're better off rebooting in a few years anyway. WB still has the biggest chip because they have the rights to Superman. So I don't expect Henry to walk away. The worst case scenario, is WB walks away. But I expect some middle ground to be reached.

If I'm not wrong, Cavill is still under contract to appear one more time as Superman as per his earlier contract.

Or, he was initially signed only for 3 movies ? In that case, he has already fulfilled his part. (MoS, BvS, JL.)

He's got one left.
Yeah, that's what I thought. Now, if he guest appears in Shazam ! He will be paid for that separately as it cannot be counted at par with full role in a movie if it is just a 2 minute role.

Let's see what happens.

WB has undergone a lot of personnel changes in the last 6 months. Diane Nelson and Lora Kennedy are gone. Lora was especially significant in getting Henry cast and has been a big supporter of his even before he became Superman.

Mulling all of this over as today is a new day, I think the Joker card is McQuarrie. Henry probably wants him...bad and if MI:6 does great, McQuarrie would be a get...but that alone also comes with demands.

It may be this: Okay, you want Chris that bad huh? Let's halt discussions and put up or shutup with McQuarrie for MI:6. McQuarrie could be involved in Henry's best wishes to where he wants to take Supes.

Could be...negotiations could be complicated if Cavill and McQuarrie are some sort of package deal.

Eh, Amy Adams can be replaced right now and I would be cool with it.

I've said before but I'll say again, if they keep Cavill and recast everyone else then fine. I say this as someone who liked Adams as Lois (mostly in MOS) but I don't think she is irreplaceable like I see Cavill as. For me like Lex the best Lois Lane was on TV.

I'm confused. If Lois is recast, it's not going to be a different Lois, not unless Cavill and the entire cast is recast. If Lois is recast, it would be a different actress playing the same role. If the only concern is characterization, then Lois can simply be written differently. You don't need a different Lois cast to get a different shade of the character. Amy Adams is quite talented and versatile, so there's nothing really someone like McAdams can do that Adams cannot. So why recast at all? What's the point? What does it fix that other changes would not?

If Cavill stays, then there's no reason to recast Lois Lane. I like Amy Adams as Lois.

Jesus Christ, the last thing we need is rumors of more people leaving. It wouldn't exactly bode well for the DCEU.

Right, because we are all cool if Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jared Leto, Lawrence Fishburne leave. :o

I hope to god Henry and Amy stay on, I will truly be gutted, in a 'stay in bed for a week and mourn' level of gutted if they left.

For all we know, Ben Affleck, Jared Leto and Lawrence Fishburne have already left.

Henry Cavill and his agent Danny Garcia are greeted at the gate of WB by midget Charles Roven.

Roven: The last time we met, you was taking a piss out of the bad cgi on your face.

Cavill: I seem to remember a different cut. Both smile and hug embrace each other/

Roven: You stand in the presence of Walter Hamada of House Low Budget Horror Films, rightful heir to the WB Throne, rightful Chief of the NEW DC Properties and the First Producer Men, Protector of Director Cuts, the Father of Budgets, the Khaleesi of the Great Brass Sea, the Underrated, the Breaker of 2.5 hr Films.

Danny Garcia: This is Henry Cavill. He is your Superman.
Hamada: Thank you for traveling so far, I hope the seas weren’t too rough.
Cavill: The winds were kind, chief.

Hamada: So I assume, you’re here to bend the knee and sign a new contract.
Cavill: I am not.

Hamada: Well, that is unfortunate. You’ve traveled all this way to break faith with WB?

Cavill: Break faith? Your bald director gave me fake lips. He burned my soul alive. He would have burned the original Snyder cut–

Hamada: Whedon was an evil man. On behalf of this new DC Management, I ask your forgiveness for the crimes he committed against you. And I ask you not to judge a new commanding chief for the sins of his predecessor . I am the last Producer these DC films will ever have. Honor the pledge your previous agent made to us. Bend the knee and I will name you Superman for many years to come.

Garcia: I know my accent only works with The Rock in the room with me, but Lord Cavill only has one more film left, your grace, he deserves a better pay.

Hamada: DC films going forward will be tight on budget and low on big brand names. Sign on and I promise you after the storm rinses away, your house shall be paid in gold.
Garcia: Looks around. I don't like that deal.
Hamada side eyes Roven/

Cavill: You’re right. You’re not guilty of your predecessor’s crimes. And I’m not beholden to my previous agent’s vows.

A bald tub of lard Geoff Johns walks into the room and whispers something into Hamada's ear.

Hamada: It seems our enemies to the east have surpassed our JL numbers yet again.

Cavill: Am I your Superman?

Hamada: Not yet.

Just kill the "DCEU". And don't worry about connecting things. Worry about crossovers when it's time to worry about crossovers like Justice League movies.

I think Sam’s point was this very post being made

He dun did it again

Technically they could recast everyone and still set it in this universe. Nobody would by it though.
