Justice League Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - - - - - - - Part 17

My perspective on a potential Lois and supporting roles recast is that’s WB may see the previous incarnation as tainted. WB may think that a Rebirth for the character is what’s needed. They may also know having to pay more money for the current cast simply isn’t worth it so they may want to save money there.

The supporting roles are a lot easier to recast than Superman too.

Again this isn’t me saying they are going too but I don’t think we should rule out the possibility that they pull a soft reboot on us.

Eh, Amy Adams can be replaced right now and I would be cool with it.

Adams is about to be one of the most awarded actresses of the year. WB wants to keep her. But my feeling is this - standalones. They don't need Superman. We won't see Cavill or Adams in their roles again. It's just gonna be Wonder Woman, Shazam, Harley, Aquaman and whatever weirdo elseworld stuff they fancy

Hold your horses now. Not that the possibility of them leaving is unlikely, but nothing's been confirmed yet.

I don’t see them giving up on Superman. Even just as for merchandise he’s a big seller. I think they know aswell if they get Superman right they’re looking at something huge.

Then again, we are talking about WB here. They're not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.

If they 'give up' on Superman full stop. I'm out. I'm gone. I ain't doing any more of anything related too comics, comic book films, collections, comic con visits, nothing. I won't have the spirit. My boy will have gone.

Honestly I think Henry and Amy will stay on but I don’t think we’ll see Fishburne back as Perry or Eisenberg back as Lex. I also don’t think we’ll be seeing Swanwick, Jenny or Farris again.

They surely have a weird way to show it when you think about her role reduced to the bare minimum in BvS an JL (in theatres I mean).

Supes is alive and well outside of this film universe. That's a bit drastic of a move if you're that big of a fan.

There's only so many retries the audience is willing to go through. Because of the lack of solo's, I do think they have it in them for one more reboot. If that fails, Supes is a goner on cinema for roughly a decade, I'd imagine. Too much brand dilution and damage in a short amount of time.

Losing Fishburne would be unfortunate. Losing Esenberg would be a blessing, unless he and the next director can change the performance and dial it back a bit. Despite not liking the casting, I still feel Jesse could have worked for me under different circumstances.

This was his first tweet regarding DC since his Cavill hint. Hopefully things are being worked out and talks are now positive.

But it could be anything. But following a tweet up with that could be the same subject in question.

Brandon Davis also is hyping Monday. The obvious fan elabortions are the Cavill situation or a potential piece on an Aquaman set visit or news on more DC Streaming Services but it looks like something positive is coming at least.

End of the day they’ll reboot Superman until they’re blue in the face for sure but like you say if the next film fails they’ll wait a decade or more. But he’ll probably just return to TV anyway.

He’s such a prick honestly. I bet it’s nothing to do with Superman. According to others they’re saying the same about it been a good day. But I’m gonna keep my expectations in check as I don’t think it’s gonna be about the Cavill-WB contract talks.

I agree with this.

Call me crazy but my choice for Lex recast is Vince Vaughn.

Slate for 2021 - Leto's Joker origin, Adams' solo political thriller, Fishbourne returns as Perry White in the film "White/Luthor" in the vein of Frost/Nixon.

3 in 1! Yay

Conrad says the news is not MOS 2 related.

Yeah didn’t think it was. I still expect the contract talks to be resolved by the time SDCC hits. I may be wrong on that but just got a feeling.

Sounds like it might be Aquaman set visit embargo lifts. That's what has been hinted at.

I think the Cavill talks will turn out okay.
