I think a supporting role in Wonder Woman 3 would be a better fit than Aquaman 2, like I was saying in the WW thread. Aquaman is actually building on its Atlantis mythos while WW is not doing much Greek stuff but instead time-hopping through Man's World. Best way to cap off her trilogy is giving Superman a supporting role and encourage her to become a public hero at last. The main plot can still be its own thing, if that Amazon spinoff does happen and they want to tie it in to WW3. Also I am just a sucker for Superman/WW interaction if you can't tell since we've barely had any in the DCEU up to this point.

Shazam 2 supporting role would also be good, build on their relationship before throwing it all together in Shazam 3. Or maybe COVID-19 will push the Black Adam conflict up to Shazam 2, simply because of all the production halts as it is. Time will tell.

Usually, unless there's a director attached or (/and) a script that WB really likes, they won't be admitting that a movie (MoS 2) is officially under development.

We should thank Sandberg for that, even if Henry was not available, he still got Superman to be a part of the movie, so now that opens up the possibility of Superman cameo in either Shazam 2 or BA (or both). Plus it establishes Superman as a publicly acceptable Superhero, who visits schools.

Perhaps, but I'm already at that point where I make peace with it if the "Snyder Cut" is the last time that we see Henry as Superman.

Honestly, I would only be excited again for Henry (post Snyder Cut) if he was coming back to headline his own movie. BvS may have been Snyder's sequel to MOS but it certainly wasn't the sequel that Henry's Superman needed imho.

That's why I don't think it is.

This makes sense for several reasons:

- The Witcher is already behind schedule on Season 2. So the gap between S2 & S3 is gonna be shorter, therefore not giving Henry much time at all for other projects over the next 12-18 months.
- I think they’ll have him cameo in Black Adam and/or Shazam 2 setting up a supporting role (think Iron Man in SM Homecoming) in Shazam vs Black Adam.
- His schedule will free up as time goes on and he can eventually film a solo Superman in time for late 2023 or early to mid 2024.

With all this in mind, it means we keep Henry as our Superman while giving him the time to actually do it with balancing the Witcher. Heck who knows maybe he’ll just be Superman in the Shazamverse and/or HBO Maxverse and they’ll have another Superman in the solo series like Pattinson is for Bats.

I also wouldn’t rule out cameos in Aquaman 2 & Wonder Woman 3, cameos can be shot in a day.

A cameo in WW3 rather than a full-on supporting role... maybe. I'd rather the WW series is left to do its own thing for as long as possible. Yet, at the same time, seeing Superman under Patty's stewardship is a very appealing prospect.

Regardless of whether Henry continues or not, the plan seems to be to build up Superman's popularity. If Cavill's cameos in other DC movies accomplish that, then it would be foolish to reboot the character, they will just recast and continue.

If I were to hazard a guess, perhaps one or more upcoming DC films require the presence of Superman for whatever reason. With Cavill already waiting in the wings, the studio doesn't have to go through the arduous process of casting another Superman until they see fit to reboot the franchise at some later juncture. In short, he could potentially end up doing multiple cameos as opposed to just the one depending on which way the wind blows. That's my sense. I wouldn't expect to see him headlining his own film again just yet, though.

Exactly, they’re not gonna bring him back for a cameo to says goodbye, it’s very clear this is designed based on several things such as Cavill’s schedule and the pandemic. If anyone wants Henry back as Superman in his own movie then they need to realise him appearing in cameos is actually a huge step towards that. If he doesn’t appear at all then it’s an easier recast. I don’t but that it will be one cameo, it’s likely one cameo to start off with it what we will likely see is one cameo turn into a second cameo and then maybe a supporting role before eventually another Superman solo.

Personally I think this deal happening now is better than if it had pre Shazam. David Sandberg said himself the headless cameo actually worked better than what he originally had planned. Personally I thought it was funny as hell with Freddy’s reaction too and imagine the other cameo (while it would have been cool to see Henry converse with Freddy & Billy) likely would have been generic.

When I say require, I mean it in looser terms. Next to Batman and Spider-Man, there's literally no bigger IP in the industry. So, naturally it'd behoove the studio to have Supes (and thus an available Supes actor) at their disposal whenever a future story necessitates or benefits from an appearance by the character.

Something else that doesn’t add up about Justin Kroll’s tweet, why would a Henry sign up for one cameo appearance? He loves playing Superman, he’d want some guarantees it’s gonna lead somewhere, no way would he sign on just for a goodbye cameo.

If that’s the case though then that’s a team up movie not him making a cameo, especially when they have shelved the Supergirl movie. I think Supergirl will happen down the line but I totally think Henry’s deal is mostly so he can have the showdown with Black Adam.

I reckon Black Adam &/or Shazam 2 simple cameo(s) setting up a full on supporting role (Iron Man in Homecoming style possibly even larger) in Shazam 3 which I reckon will be called Shazam vs Black Adam.

i do think he could potentially cameo in Aquaman 2, WW3 &/or Flash depending on if they have a cool idea for him to appear or it serves those stories in some capacity.
