I dont need an outright explanation. I think the scene of him choosing the black suot will be telling enough.
I just hope someone acknowledges the new look. Itd be a bit strange for no one to be curious. But that goes down to how much we will get of superman interacting with the league post battle.
I'd love a scene of them all on the flying fox after that hero shot. But I doubt it.

Yeah just a line of dialogue or something, maybe we’ll hear some unheard dialogue from Jor El or something.

I think the Jonathan Kent voiceover explains it all. It harpens back to the theme of "choice" in Man of Steel. I just think when Clark comes back, he doesn't know who he is but as he gradually is reminded, he needs to experience the black suit first to make that choice back to the red and blue. Ultimately, Clark always chooses the red and blue in the end. How that will be explained, we'll see but I think that's the gist.

I find that very subtle but that’s Zack so you’re probably right. I do think Zack sometimes is a little too subtle though.

The anti-gravity field Superman generates makes the little rocks float, and as the field increases, the cape also starts floating just before the flight.

Got damn I cant wait for Clark in this. While he may not get the greatest amount of screen time I feel his presence will be felt through the whole flick.
I'm so curious to see what the other members think of him.

Ok so this isn't Henry Cavill related but it is Superman related and since to me (and to most of us) Cavill IS Superman this is kinda related.
DC has announced a new digital first Superman mini series starring Donner's Superman written by Robert Vendetti who IMO has done a superb job writing Superman in the man of tomorrow digital series, infact Vendetti's Superman stuff was so good that it almost helped wash the bad taste of Bendis's run out of my mouth.
I know this isn't the superman movie news that you all are waiting to hear (those will come) but it's still great news non the less.

No he wore the blue and red the whole shoot. It’s all converted in post.

That’s one of my complaints about MoS. The movie was so dark in that scene that I didn’t even realize he was wearing an all black suit until someone pointed it out to me. I guess that’s okay for that scene though since it was supposed to be dark and bleak.

Even the suit you see there is just converted to black & white. Zack wanted it but WB said no so he filmed with that particular suit in JL with the reflective material underneath so it would be something they could easily edit in post should he be able to convince WB to let him use the black suit.

Yes. Zack mentioned this in an interview that the studio was worried about putting Superman in the black suit. The whole "fast tracking hope and optimism" thing so they never allowed Zack the black suit. Knowing this, Zack shot Henry's scenes and shot his suit in a way to render the red and blue suit in post just in case. It's on record that the studio mandated Zack to begin with and while Zack shot what the studio changed, he still shot his vision as well to have in his back pocket. Makes Zack an even bigger legend in my eyes. He's too cool.
