He did say they’d had some conversations, the only thing with Cavill is he’s a good soldier. So whether that was him towing the company line or not I don’t know cause the cast were asked to say good things in public about Whedon. Although I know Cavill was mostly if not always on set on his own for the reshoots with Whedon cause he couldn’t film when the rest of the cast were there. So maybe the two really did hit it off. I definitely think Cavill has always wanted to be the comic book version of Supes and not play it quite like Snyder wanted post MOS. Although that doesn’t mean he didn’t believe in Snyder”s story.

Pure speculation on my part, but I'd guess that Cavill was being a good sport to try and secure another solo movie. I'm not suggesting he turned a blind eye to any of the Whedon allegations or anything btw.

Well luckily for some of us, Warner Bros had prevented him from going that route with JL.

The only downside is that get a Superman story where he has limited screen time, interactions with other heroes, and possibly doesn't embrace his role by the conclusion of Snyder's film.

WB could view him as expendable even more so now that they've seen someone else get so well received. Mind you, it's only after one episode.

I don't see WB dumping Cavill just because Hoechlin was well-received. Not when they're building their multiverse.

Overall, I really enjoyed last night's premiere. It wasn't without flaws but the good definitely outweighed the bad (by a large margin). I don't think Tyler's success will have any effects on Henry's place within the DCEU.

I know that Henry is capable of portraying a great Superman. His biggest problem is that the folks in charge won't let him.

I told you guys when this thing is announced it will be a BIG announcement from WB, with director, writer, release date etc...And like the Nolan announcement of 2010, it's gonna come out of nowhere when you least expect it because to be honest I'm not even sure WB know right now. It all depends on the actual film's development, when the script is finalized and the project gets the red, blue, yellow and green light we'll hear about it and believe me WB will make it seem like this is their biggest movie since the DKRises or BvS and hype it to high heaven.
Superman is coming people so listen to Cap's advice up there, have patience and keep up the hope because that's what our boy Kal is all about.

I'm just happy he has The Witcher, just a terrific series and he's so good in the role. He's been on a bit of a roll as of late as well - Sherlock Holmes in a very good and well-received Enola Holmes, Mission Impossible, The Witcher.
