According to DCEU Facts on Twitter, this is at Clark's apartment.

OMG--- rewatching episodes of Smallville. Good Lord Tom Welling is awful! We are so lucky to have Cavill.

I don't think you need to **** on Welling to praise Cavill, but yes, I agree that the latter is the better actor.

Say what you will about Dean Cain as Superman but he was excellent as Clark.

Also why do people have to **** on previous actors to big the other one up? Tom Welling was fine on Smallville and he got better as the show went on.

I think Cavill's acting was spot on i think. He doesn't try to threaten Batman or trying to be scary, he is just like a teacher (or a parent) telling a naugthy child "stop it". It's his "go stand in the corner and think about what you did"

I don't know how else he could deliver those lines. It's not "you think you can threaten my mother" moment for Superman. Small kick to batmobile and ripping it off like a can makes it obvious. They are not two evenly matched beings.

Then of course, Batman will give him a good fight he wasn't expecting.

It's Rocky vs Apollo Creed of superheroes.

Yeah but then they have to tag team on Draggo(Doomsday) with the help of a pissed off Adrian

Yeah I don't get the hate for any past Superman actors, especially Welling, who was quite good imo. People talk as if he was as bad as the two actors who played superboy or something lol. I loved them all in my own way because I understood that it's ok to have many different takes on Superman. Welling played Clark as the showrunners wanted that version to be. Now if you wanna say you didn't like that version of the character, that's fine, taste is subjective

I would thought tom was a good actor not great but good and I think he could play a great bad guy in a movie though because he is much better playing bad. In the few episodes of the show that he was on Red K or something he was great! Henry though I thought was great in MOS. I think he is one of the better super hero actors we have seen before.

I liked Welling since S1 and I always found Cain underrated as Clark AND Superman! They were fine for the character's and type of shows they had

I loved L&C and Cain's Clark is my favorite live-action Clark to date, but he was a TERRIBLE Superman.

One thing I wanted to hear everyone's opinion on that I don't remember being discussed before. I understand Cavill is 6'1, not short by anyone's standards. However, considering he is two inches shorter than comic superman, does anyone here ever wonder why the hell they made Cavill's height more of an issue by casting so many people taller than him in MOS and BVS?. As an example:

Michael Shannon 6'3
Harry Lennix 6'3
Ben Affleck 6'3-6'4
Jeremy Irons 6'2

Now you may say, big deal that's only 4 people, that's fine, however 3 of those people are the one's who have a great deal of scenery with Cavill. This only popped up again as an issue to me as I was reminded of it in the new footage, where Superman is walking down the hall, like a boss and the random extra that stops to stare looked juat as tall if not slightly taller.

Dean and Tom were both dull and uninteresting actors lucky enough to get hitched to a franchise character. I'm a huge Superman fan and I don't feel the need to "trash" something from the past to build up something in the present for the simple reason that I've always thought Cain and Welling were sub-optimal actors on their best days as Supes and Clark.

It's a non issue of the... Uh... Umm... Highest order. It's two inches. Unless you go out of your way to make it an issue almost no one else will give an airborne copulation.

Well it doesn't ruin things for me. Cavill is Superman to me. But did the "only two inches" not bother you in the interrogation scene in MOS when Cavill stood up and walked over to Swanwick and appeared a good 4/5 inches shorter?. That scene always annoyed me. If you can't see their feet why couldn't they have used something to make Cavill atleast equal height?

It didn't even register, and I am guessing that's true for most.

I honestly didn't notice, and if I had, I have this overwhelming feeling that I wouldn't have cared.

I was raised on the Christopher Reeve films so maybe the height deal is something I just can't grasp with the character of Superman. Funny thing is it never bothered me with Dean Cain as Superman, never even crossed my mind. It's as annoying to me personally as I'm sure it is for you reading my post about it lol.

Meh I don't mind superman being the shortest. It kinda cool in a way because no matter how big the others get he will always be stronger.

Superman isn't a character suppose to bigger than anybody. He is tall and muscular but he doesn't have to look like Thor or Hercules etc.

Cavill looks like having great body proportions for Superman. It's difficult to have such proportions when you are really tall guy.

Also uperman is already criticized by being too strong. Nobody roots for goliaths as Wilt Chamberlain said.:oldrazz:
