I'm very glad to see Henry not only attending the Oscars, but presenting with the lovely Kerry. He looked great and sounded great.

However...some of his fans have no tact whatsoever. I went to tumblr to see some photos of him at the event and while there were some great ones, there were also some persnickety comments about some woman he's supposed to be dating. He's a human being with a right to live his own life. People need to get off his back about his personal life. Dude's gonna die alone because his women will get tired of all the smack talk they get simply for dating him. Ugh.

Sorry, just had to vent that.

Any woman worth a damn isn't going to let that get to them.

No one in particular. Just saw a couple things like "At least he had the sense to avoid walking the red carpet with her" or "He shouldn't be dating someone that young."

I sometimes like reading tumblr comments too (it can be funny), but it irks me when people get too judgmental over a person they don't even know. I generally try to stay away from places where this is rampant, like IMDB.

Both Knightfall and Death and Return of Superman were actually of pretty good quality for "event" stories, though I think both are hampered by that same "event" label. I also think their strengths were in totally opposite areas; Knightfall went for a more scaled back and just on the cusp of believability story that produced one great adversary and a so-so new family member while launching the new status quo fro Gotham, while Reign of the Superman was an absolutely fantastic spectacle that produced two strong additions to the family and a two okay-to-great villains.

I mean, yeah, neither was perfect...but I'd still hold their mix of quality and scale over a lot of modern events and even some regular stories.

Death and Return created/converted (in the case of the Eradicator) 3 new family members: Steel, Superboy, Eradicator, and two new villains: Doomsday and Cyborg Superman

I hope they've written some strong dialogue to go with images like this. I want to see a humble superman that can admit to mistakes, but also one that proudly and confidently states what he can and will do to help this planet and its people that will one day adopt him as he's adopted them.

Even then it seems like Supes will still be kicking ass afterwards. We do see him block Bats' kick and throw him through a wall.

I think it weakens him like the world engine did but not totally neutralise him. We still see him hover during the fight and get crunched under the suit so I think at any point he wants to escape he could.

Also I know it was a comedy sketch but I thought Cavill was great in the Kimmel fake scene aswell.

I love the explosive power this Supes has. How he flies Batman through the building with minimal effort. Just how he took off from a standstill during MoS. From being on the ground, to out of sight kilometres away in a split second.
