He may very well be kidding but even Superman saved many more than Lois Lane, oil rig workers, soldiers, he even ages a waitress from been harassed, the entire planet etc. She also saved him people forget aswell. Also even if he only did save Lois Lane no one cares when he does that consistently on the comics issue after issue.

His saving of Lois were all genuine. Sometimes in comics and cartoons Lois almost arrogantly does dumb s*** knowing Supes will save her.
In MoS, first time just following a hunch with a guy going into the snow, next because it was first contact, and last because she was genuinely trying to help the military.
