i remember in 2006 when superman fans saw those colors they started complaining. some even said that Singer is the devil.how things changed.

not for me. The suit design is awesome! But it's still too muted for my tastes.

It's an official pic for the Infinite Crisis game, I believe. It appears they designed it in Cav-el's likeness.

Heaven forbid anyone expresses any kind of positive opinion about Henry Cavill. Liking him is too much for some people's delicate sensibilities. Maybe if he were playing Batman it would be a different story.

Cav-El deserves more credit. Most critics LIKED him, but I don't think they were generally impressed by him.

Cavill had to make Superman his own out of a script that frankly doesn't do Clark Kent (the motivating character behind that persona) justice.

Routh got the worst of it, though. "Minneapolis City Pages: ”Brandon Routh is no Christopher Reeve, who was the same age Routh is now (26) when he first slipped on the Spandex but somehow possessed more warmth, humor, and gravitas all at once.”"

I don't think Routh is a great actor, but not even Cavill would have saved SR.

I don't think Routh is a good actor, but I agree he got a raw deal with the Reeve comparisons. Singer set him up to fail by asking him to play another actor's version of a character.

Cav-el does deserve more credit. But I do remember a lot of reviews that praised him, even some that were negative about the movie overall.

I choose Routh for Bizarro. I think he would bring about a nice blend of tragedy and camp, but only in something like MOSIII or a JL movie

I don't ever want to see that New 52 Superman near anything even remotely live action. I hate that collar, the belt, and the damn armor.


If they wanted to change the suit they should've made it more like the MOS suit. If any of the tweaks to the new suit make it more like the New 52 Superman and less like the real Superman I'm going to be pissed.

Besides, the cape the way it is on the MOS suit looks great on Cavill.

Most of the scenes which I thought were completely CGI were partially shot with real actors !

While that's a great thing done by Snyder, the post color correction made them look so blurry and grainy that I still think it is CGI when it's not (Looking at the behind the scenes pics.)

I agree Routh got a raw deal in SR, he could make an alternate dimension version of Superman-Bizzaro (or Ultraman) in future JL movies though (for one movie) that would give him a chance to redeem himself.

Huh. Didn't know they actually planned to this for real. Strange, because that actual scene looked like CGI to me, and I've usually been spot on at pointing these out.

They probably couldn't get Cavill back fast enough like in the clip, so they opted for a full digital double.
