For some reason Warner Brothers didn't want to release good posters.

That concept art above would've made the perfect poster, the only one I would've needed, but you're right they gave us a bunch of crap instead.

They better nail the posters for BvS. It's the DC event film of all event films. If they don't, it's not going to be a massive issue for the film itself obviously, but for the fans it would be really disappointing.

This was my favorite pic of concept art. I have plans to incooperate it into a tattoo eventually:

Okay why did they not release that as a poster? It's so much better than anything we got. We're they afraid of getting a Marvel comparison because they release concept art for posters?

^ They won't. His smile will never have the presence of Reeve's smile.:o

I agree with Snyder about Superman smiling at the camera. :o

Although, i will say i liked that scene as a kid.(Unlike Snyder)

Im not against Superman smiling(im not some brooding party-pooper). I meant the final scene in STM when Supes is flying by the camera and smiles and waves.

What's great about the homage to Superman smiling at the camera in MOS is how Snyder made Clark smile at Lois before end-credits. Yet, another sublte nod and respect to Supe's history.:word:

Snyder did a lot of that in MOS with Cavill. I think it was the right sort of homage to offer to STM. Unlike Singer who just ripped the whole damn movie....

I'm not that fond of homages, so I choose to think there was none, lol.

Yeah, there was a ton of it, but re-envisioned. The trucker, the hitchhiking, the Hologram/consciousness of Jor-EL, the smile, etc.

Singer just decided to mimic SM:TM word for word, scene by scene. It was pretty eye-rolling if you ask me.

I'm fine with them using things that occurr all throughout superman's comic history, but I don't like seeing things that are obviously homages to another superman movie. I find it takes me out if the movie. I want to be immersed in the movie I'm watching and not think about the Reeve movies or whatever. Especially in a reboot...it's supposed to be its own thing. I don't feel the need to be resurrecting the past while I'm watching a modern movie.

That's what i liked about MOS. :yay:

Yeah, that's the one. I think Snyder didn't like how it breaks the fourth wall.

I get why he didn't like it but as a six year old when this movie first came out (yes I am old) when Superman smiled at the audience It made me feel as if he was smiling at me. Superman smiled and waved at me.
