Reeve's smile was very charming, but i honestly think Cavill's at least equals it in terms of charm.

I get why he didn't like it but as a six year old when this movie first came out (yes I am old) when Superman smiled at the audience It made me feel as if he was smiling at me. Superman smiled and waved at me.

The Roach and his wisdom... :fhm:

Different...but still lovable.

I have to admit... This did put a big ole smile on my face.

There's a reason why no one has been able to make us not think about him

Yeah, didn't want to get lynched! I Prefer MOS though, since it's more of a Sci-fi/Adventure movie. And it doesn't have Otis...Man even as a kid i hated him...

Yeah, like i said: I liked this scene too, as a kid. Guess Snyder was a tougher kid than the rest of us?

Oh god. You had to post this, didn't you?

Now I'm gonna swoon all day. I just want to pinch his cheeks. Precious.

Apperantly he didn't like it.
Really especially at the end on Welcome to the planet. really?:huh::huh:
He did the same but at the same time in his own style. You know its a different movie and universe. ;)

No, im talking about STM when Supes is smiling directly into the camera. It breaks the fourth wall. Cavill's Supes doesn't do that, he's smiling at Lois. Snyder didn't like it because it reminded him he was watching a movie supposedly.

I see your point now. But I loved both smiles. :woot:

I love his performance too. Totally respect your point of view.

I loved Chris' performance as well, but that's about the only thing I liked in STM.

I like it because it kind of "breaks" the fantasy, for lack of a better word.
It's like he was saying "You really thought I was Superman, huh?"

While at the same time affirming the fact that it was a strong enough film to sell him as a character.

I definitely like that they continued into MOS with a similar manned up version of what we got through boyhood of Smallville.

Henry and Tom have been my favorite renditions of Supes on screen, and they are quite similar in general looks.

People don't give the TV versions of Clark/Superman nearly enough credit.

This is how I've always felt too. Loved Chris, and have respect for the first movie for what it did for the comic book genre, but I have never liked those movies.

Hated Smallville, but I have good memories of Lois and Clark. People don't give that show enough credit I think. Smallville would have been so much better if it was about Lex and Clark was just a supporting character. Lex was the best part of that show.
