Reeve's smile was very charming, but i honestly think Cavill's at least equals it in terms of charm.

I will say that i own STM on dvd and i enjoy Chris's performance!
I get why he didn't like it but as a six year old when this movie first came out (yes I am old) when Superman smiled at the audience It made me feel as if he was smiling at me. Superman smiled and waved at me.

There's a reason why no one has been able to make us not think about him

Really especially at the end on Welcome to the planet. really?Apperantly he didn't like it.
Oh god. You had to post this, didn't you?
Now I'm gonna swoon all day. I just want to pinch his cheeks. Precious.

He did the same but at the same time in his own style. You know its a different movie and universe.![]()
I see your point now. But I loved both smiles. No, im talking about STM when Supes is smiling directly into the camera. It breaks the fourth wall. Cavill's Supes doesn't do that, he's smiling at Lois. Snyder didn't like it because it reminded him he was watching a movie supposedly.

I loved Chris' performance as well, but that's about the only thing I liked in STM.
I thought I was the only one to think like this.
I definitely like that they continued into MOS with a similar manned up version of what we got through boyhood of Smallville.

Henry and Tom have been my favorite renditions of Supes on screen, and they are quite similar in general looks.

People don't give the TV versions of Clark/Superman nearly enough credit.
Aww, come on...No love for Otis?

Nope. I reckon I could live without Otisberg.
