The guy that posted the photo says he shot a scene with Amy today.

It looks like they're standing in front of the LexCorp building.

I have a receding hairline, but I am also not suppose to be man perfected. :cwink:

So, you'd prefer that they cast Superman with an android? If you look close enough, you can find physical flaws on just about everyone.

If they want to replace Henry with me I'm available. :yay:

That is what I tell myself everyday. :cwink:

More seriously, yes that is what he has. I look back at pictures of myself, I have always had it myself, even when I was a little one, with a huge afro. :D

People with curlier hair (like Cavill) are more prone to breakage; that's possibly why such a large number of African-American males (and even females) tend to have higher hairlines. That's just my guess though.

I dig the picture. Cavill is still great in the character.

I played around with the colors a bit to get the classic feel going.

damn that looks nice!
i wish the colours for superman suit were lighter ;(

I can attest to the first one...curly hairstrands are quite thin, and prone to breakage especially if chemically-treated and overstyled.

Does that explain my high forehead? I've always had one, but I attributed that to intelligence...:woot:

Going back on topic, comparing Henry and his brothers, they all seem to have high widow's peaks but none are balding. So I don't think he'll go bald, but he'll definitely look a bit like Timothy Dalton...

It may just be the beer talkin here (which I dont think it is) but Cavill is the perfect Superman! He totally embodies the character IMO, especially in this picture. I was so fixated on getting a new image of Batfleck or even Wondergal that I didnt even really think how AWESOME a new picture of Cav-El could be!! :woot:

I read that. Can't wait to see a pic of Henry and Amy together.

Great to have someone solid in the role and returning to the franchise. Stability is a good thing for Supes. They can build something here.

I can't wait to see a photo of Henry and Amy either. I'm looking forward to their relationship being further explored almost as much as the Superman/Batman dynamic.

They say he's the president of AT&T in Michigan.

Yeah, I don't see anything unusual about his hairline; it's not like he has a bald spot. Superman has often been portrayed in the comics and animated features with a mature hairline anyway.

with this new design for the sides, that particular design works much better than the MOS design

I like how you took my manip and boosted the saturation a bit.

But I'm honestly not a fan of the ran triangles you inserted. It's not needed and breaks the direction of your eye. Also makes it look like the cape weirdly attached to his ribs/waste. (Almost like a triangle chunk of his back is missing)

I'm also not sure I entirely like the new angular ribbing. I liked the curvy flowing ones from MOS more so.

I do like the subtle patterns in the structure though - like in the S shield and the gold really pops in the belt now. And the square buckle.

If it was this easy to manip the colors to be more classic and saturated I'm hoping we see that displayed on film. I'm hoping this very dark and moody Gotham pic serves to contrast a bright and saturated Supes.

Someone else may have already said this, but that haircut and thicker frame reminds me of Alex Ross' Superman. And the lighting on the hair gives the illusion of grey, which makes me think of Kingdom Come.

:funny:

That's a great reply.

The suit looks great. The changes are subtle and I don't even think they require an explanation in the movie. I don't know if it's the shot or what, but Cavill looks more mature, larger, and... like he's ready to kick some ass. I hadn't noticed the background until someone pointed it out, but it definitely looks Gotham-y. Hopefully that explains the color tone.

Arms, like I said before, you got your wish about the piping.

Yeah, I guess I did get my wish. :yay:

I also agree that the changes don't require an explanation.

It's funny because when you mentioned it before I could visualize it, but seeing it now I totally understand why you wanted that. It adds more style to costume and helps with his lines and frame.

I know the pic is photoshopped, but he looks bigger this time around.
