Barry does whatever he wants irregardless of Iris' desires. Iris asked him to take a certain street, he disregarded it. She asked him to stop pursuing Devoe, he ignored her. She wants Barry to reveal he's the Flash, Barry explains to her why he doesn't want to and convinces her not to. Barry reveals his identity to Izzy, despite Iris protesting. Iris doesn't seem to have much say.

Killer Frost is the only interesting character, if she shared more scenes with Barry it would make the show better.

I love the dual role she has this season, Caitlin is still a great asset in her own right but her ability to now "Frost out!" for the action scenes has added a lot and Danielle seems to be loving the chance to vary things up. The development between her two personalities is also an interesting wrinkle.

I only wish there were more episodes dedicated to her origin story. It needs to be clearly defined who she is as a meta, a part 2 with 3x07. She is the coolest character on the show. The writers could have a lot of fun with her story.

So let me get this straight, you have a fire-based meta, and Iris (who has no experience using her powers), AND you have a teammate who has the power to literally SHOOT ICE out of her hands, AND you put her on "fire duty," and yet she does nothing (Cisco neither) and Iris just goes in alone? You're kidding me right? I mean I know that this show has struggled to find things for Caitlin/KF to do a lot, but this was ridiculous.

What's the point of giving her powers if she barely gets to use them, even in situations where it'd make perfect sense to do so?

They used their CGI budget for the tower of water scene. Same reason we didn't see stretchy Ralph this ep.

My favorite part was when no one considered the building was still burning after Cisco had to breach the incompetent Iris out. Caitlin could have been utilized so much with the fire meta, ridiculous shoehorning for this dumb, useless character.

I miss E2 Killer Frost. I think I like her more then E1 Frost. They should've kept her alive instead of killing her off and having her try to kill Caitlin.

Caitlin should be at E2 level by now. They even have her quoting what E2 KF says and her mannerisms.

Caitlin doesnt spend all of her time as KF though. E2 Frost was Frost through and through and probably not that different before she got her powers.

One thing is for sure though, E1 Frost needs a new wig.

But the writers had so many times they could've started transitioning Caitlin into KF. "Flashpoint" didn't need to be the cause.

It's interesting that none of the writers chose Caitlin. Honestly, I'm not surprised. Just like this past season, Caitlin has mostly been written to just stand in Star Labs and give science exposition for the audience. That is until she gets a subplot in an episode. She's been this way since the beginning of the series.

I'm especially surprised by Sterling. I thought he would choose Caitlin due to him actually writing for the character in the current comics.
