You need to be very careful with Nolan, and not repeating the same mistaake WB made with Singer, which was basiclaly using a director who had a passion for one comic book character(s) and made a good movie, but then when they tried translating it to Supermen, it just wasn't there likely due to the fact that the diector didnt relate to him in the same way.
Singer did an admirable job with the X-Men (highlighted even moreso by Ratner's awful film) due to his having a strong association to the characters situation because of his own sexuality. But when he got handed the reins to the Alpha Male of Alpha Males, something he obviously wasnt comfortable with, so he deferred too much to Donner's 30 year old predecessor, and it fell flat on it's face.
Nolan loves Batman and it's shown in 2 films so far, to a degree few thought possible after Schumacher sent the franchise in to the abyss. Simply handing him the keys to Superman because of his Batman success could be WB repeating the same mistake it made with Singer. Maybe Nolan's brother has that passion for Superman and is capable of directing it mastefully. I don't know. But to blindly want Chris Nolan on the project because of The Dark Knight and Inception being the new, hot thing ATM is being a bit short-sighted.
