it would be interesting to have hamm as supes. But first we still need to know what the setting/plot and charcter age ranges they are going for. Now if they are going for a more mature older supes then hamm would be a good pick in my book. if they want to go younger i would see them going with someone between 25-33yrs old.

Smallville doesn't have a rich story to create an amazing film AT ALL.

Welling, however, has not made them anywhere near as much as the other 2 in terms of reception. Most people love Nolan, many were entertained by Snyder's 300 and DotD. Welling... he has a fanbase, but unfortunately not an important one in the greater scheme of things.

300 did very well, both creatively and financially. Watchmen's Ultimate Cut was praised and did well on DVD lade Runner bombed back in '81 and was critically panned. And see how that turned out.

Btw, I love Watchmen. It's the epitome of a fanboy's wet dream adaptation, along with 300, Dick Tracy and Sin City.

Pretty much what Watchmen sums up. I never understood the hate, it's almost a perfect adaptation to the graphic novel and a wonderful piece of art shown on the big screen.

I think Nolan and Snyder will make a great team. Nolan and Goyer for their writing and we all know Snyder is pretty faithful to the comics that his films are being adapted from. So I'm cool with that choice. We do know that it is unlikely Routh will be Superman said Snyder said it in an interview recently. Doubt Welling will be considered too.

I wonder how much money Smallville actually has made for them in the past 10 years. Maybe it's impossible to calculate exactly, but the ballpark has to be HUGE. If this show wasn't continuing to earn them a sizable profit, it would have been yanked years ago.

I have no idea what to think about Snyder taking the helm for Superman. I want to be optimistic because I am excited for a new movie, and I'm hopeful I'll like it a lot more than I did the last one.

Tom's chances for getting the lead are probably slim if they want to create their own unique vision for a contemporary Superman. But hey... until I hear they've officially cast someone else, I'll still be hopeful.

I think Zack did a marvelous job on 300 and Watchmen. I think if they'd played down the naked electric-blue naughty bits more people might have liked it. Somehow people are more accepting of bare boobs or even of female full-frontal than they are of male full-frontal, even CGI male full-frontal.

No matter what, Zack will make sure everything (and everyone) looks good.

And I actually think that's to Tom's favor: he's probably one of the best looking people on the planet. A man who likes to have his cast look good wouldn't need look any farther than Tom.

Tom being able to act and also be so physically imposing is just icing.
