How I Met Your Mother - Part 2

I think it's become more about Barney in season 7 and the second episode is because he had a girlfriend. Two in fact and Ted didn't. Whenever I think of Season 6 I don't think of Barney and Nora. I think of Ted and Zoey (and the Blitz). Now that Barney doesn't have a girlfriend it will be more focused with Ted and his relationship while Barney is off doing somethig crazy in the side plot.

Maybe that's why they broke up Barney and Quinn first, so that they could concentrate more on Ted. I'm guessing the next couple to break up though will be Robin and the other guy, with Ted and Victoria last. Maybe Victoria will go back to Klaus.

They need to breakup Robin and Nick next, so to establish Barney-Robin

Klaus will probably go off with his ferrets. The part about the German Odd Couple, one's very neat and the other is very, very neat, was funny.

Ashley Williams looked even hotter with short, dark hair.

What the Hell was Victoria doing with her head in that scene with her and Ted in bed during the "Barney has a point" part?
the first thing that came to mind was, Marcy from "married... with children" she always did that hen pecking, chicken neck thing when she got angry lol

Aww man, think I'm over this show now :/
The end of the first episode got me really excited, but this recent episode felt like the last few seasons. Don't think I really care who the mother is or how Ted meets her anymore.

:(

That's a big change in a week.

Other than Quinn leaving, Bob Odenkirk was the best thing about the episode.

the s7 finale is about Barney. the premiere was about Barney. and now the second ep is about Barney and it looks like the whole season will be about him.

i dont think its balanced enough.
giving that its been revealed that Ted meets the mother at the wedding, how Barney gets to the point of marrying Robin is a big part of Teds story... so its all connected

Knowing that Barney and Robin are getting married, I don't really feel like watching this anymore.

For me, it's more about watching the journey despite the fact that we pretty much already know the destination.

Hmm ... I liked the second episode and well...hopefully the next ones will be better.

I just realized, the show is a lot better when Barney is single.

Yeah...I can't see Barney getting married. EvER... Robin deserves better...she deserves a guy like me. heh. I'd make fun of her alter ego: Agent Hill. hahaha. omg...

so Victoria is dirty at home? thats how they will broke up Ted's famous Victoria?

Personally I think they should spend sometime on Ted's feelings when he finds out Barney and Robin are getting married seeing as that is one of the big reasons why they broke up because she couldn't marry him but can marry Barney.

Yeah, it should be interesting to see what the difference is. To be fair though, wasn't it Lily that convinced them to have the talk that lead them to break up? I mean in the season 2 finale, she did say if she were to have kids with anybody, it would be Ted, and she didn't rule out marriage completely in the episode when Lily and Marshall were going to get married in Atlantic City.

But just going by last season, its interesting to see what changed with that triangle, since she said she didn't love Ted, and it wasn't because she was in love with Barney, and how she didn't break up with Kevin to be with Barney.

Hopefully not. I think last night was a set up to show that Robin and Ted aren't as happy as they're making it out to be in their relationship, and those were just a couple of examples of how things are going wrong. I think ultimately it will be revealed that they were both in over their heads and got into relationships that they weren't ready for or something.

Took almost 2 months but i've officially caught up with this series. Love it.

Finally allowed myself to start Season 8.

Gotta say, kind of disappointed at how abrupt they ended Quinn and Barney. Part of me hoped they'd stretch it along just a few more episodes.

I really hope that by midseason we get to meet the mother. I'd like to see their relationship develop somewhat so that we as the viewers get a clear understanding of why she's "The One".

Lamest thing would be to only meet her in the season (likely series) finale.

So the end of the episode was a bit gross with Barney and Mrs Buckminster. The other nanny from Marshall's hometown whom Barney banged was hot though. However, she might've caused problems for Marshall and Lily being attractive - especially if she eventually became a live-in nanny.

I hope they concentrate on Ted a bit more. He seemed a bit periperal in this latest episode.

But the destination is the reason I don't care for the journey anymore. We've seen Barney and Robin together and we've seen why it didn't work. With his last two relationships, we've seen Barney change, trying to better himself, without anyone forcing him to. He worked much harder on his relationships with Nora and Quinn, than he ever did when he was with Robin. Now them trying to get the two back together, just feels forced to me.

No I agree, it definitely does feel forced, even though there were hints way back in season 1 that they would be good for each other, or at least that Robin was the "bro" that Barney was looking for.

But I was talking more about Ted's story. I'll watch to see how that turns out, because to be honest, I don't care about Barney and Robin. I haven't cared about Robin since about season 3, and Barney is fun to watch, but not when he's in a relationship. I just really hope things do change soon though because I'm tired of Ted being nothing but a background character.

Actually, Barney and Mrs. B was the funniest part of the whole season.

So I'm not the only one unable to focus on this episode but rather am just staring shamelessly at Hannigan? :o
