this week's episode was very mediocre. I didn't feel like any of the jokes hit like they should. And I still hate Kevin. I want him to die in a fire.

I don't get it either. What is it? Is he not *****y enough?

Anyone who didn't throw things at the TV whenever Zoey appeared isn't allowed to hate Kevin or anything else ever.

he has no balls. he tries to please everybody, even if it means spending his night in a strip club and a russian poker game. He needs to learn how to stand up for himself. And Kal Penn's acting is bad.

If you didn't notice, he and Robin played relationship chicken. And at the end he was the one that actually said "No". >_> So what the hell are you complaining about? Or what about the time he told Robin and the rest of the gang how mentally ill they were?

he always has to reach that breaking point, though. It shouldn't ever get that far. the man needs to grow a pair.

to be fair, the last episode seemed like a step in the right direction for him. But I still don't have to like him. and so far, they haven't really given me any reason to.

Don't have to like him, don't see a reason though to outright hate him either.

I have no problem with the character, but Kal Penn is not a great sitcom actor.

I see nothing wrong with his acting. Sure, he's not pulling it off as well as the five leads, but compared to those leading the rest of the sitcoms on CBS, I think he's quite good.

I just think his character is lifeless. I dunno he has a lot of screentime and doesn't feel like that strong of a character to deserve it.

Maybe it's the fact that he was Robin's therapist. That is kinda creepy.

I think the problem with Kevin is that he is the only one of Robin's boyfriends who actually hangs out with the group. Her other boyfriends had been one or two episode characters and Don didn't even meet the group until his second to last episode. It messes with the dynamic of the group. We have three guys and two girls another guy throws it off. That's why Ted's girlfriends don't throw it off because then its three guys and three girls. And part of the reason the writers are doing that is because of Kal Penn. He's more famous than any of her other boyfriends and is as famous as Ted's girlfriends.

To be fair, Robin was already supposed to have a boyfriend/dating partner arc this season, but the guy they had in mind ended up being cast in something else and couldn't do a recurring role here, so they had to change it up to create Kevin.

Great episode. The alternate openings, Ted at poker and night-vision Marshall were all excellent. Also, great Chris Elliott reference to his Tostitos days.

Wow. Didn't know that. Do you have any idea who the actor was they had in mind?

It was her little crush that she met when she was with Ted. I don't know the Episode anymore, the one where we discover when Ted bought the red boots.
