The Dark Knight How should be the Batmobile for The Dark Knight?

Like I mentioned before, that only prevents radar detection. From what I saw in BB, it also quiets down the engine. But you also have to take into account there's no invisibility cloak or something. Meaning people will still see it on the streets.

Not if it's in a dark alley. Besides, there's no way Batman's going around Gotham in ANY of his Batmobiles without raising any eyebrows (and a couple of police and criminal sirens to boot).

Yeah, and long, black sexy rides with a big-ass turbine jet in the rear are oh-so-invisible aren't they?
Oh boy...

It's still a city, and that means many people at any time. Being in NYC myself, I can attest to this. I am sure it is the same for Chicago.

This goes for any Batmobile in fact, not just the Tumbler. The only "realistic" car I've seen Batman use, is in Y1. An old-fashioned car that looks like any other car.

I applaud your reading skills. Really. I appreciate it so much when I type something out, only for someone to just ignore it, and try to find another statement of mines to use against me.

I was questioning your logic of dismissing the Tumbler because it was not "stealthy" enough and "Batman was all about stealth" yet can't understand the fundemental paradox in the fact that ANY OTHER Batmobile would be no different either i.e, not stealthy.

And please, I'm not attacking you. No need to feel so childishly defensive. We're all buds here.

As for me, batmobile (Burton's version) wasn't stealthy enough.

I remember that scene, when Batman saves Vicky Vale from Joker (they went away from gallery or restaurant, don't remember exactly) and then there was car chase.

But later, when Batman and Vale leaves batmobile, a crowd of people starts to explore it.

I was really only mentioning it because I keep hearing how the Tumbler was so realistic and ish like that. And well....it's not. I'm quite aware that any Batmobile we recognize would fall in the same category.

And we're all friends here, agreed.

Well, I think Tumbler was the most realistic batmobile in movies.

I think that's what most people mean. I don't know if anybody actually came out and said this would really work in real life but it is definetly most believeable.

Well i would think in real life a crime fighting weapon would be a tank car such as that, not a stylish car. Keaton was more about the suave.

Actually, I always dug the Burtonmobile. I mean, yeah....it was really special effects in the end, but it was cool...and the things it did on screen were pretty "tank"-like.

But, the others....BF and B&R.....those were just stupid. I mean, they fit the films....but they were just too stylistic. Neon lit engines? Why would Batman even think about adding those?

For what Schumacher's films were, which were modern versions of the 60s show, it's best to not even question things like that. The point of those films were "spectacle" and "fun", so in that way, I don't really think it's a work that warrants questions of disbelief.

Shumacher's vision on batmobile was crappy.

Batmobile should never be fashionable, he is f-ing batmobile, which is used by Batman for fighting with crime and etc!

But Shumacher just turned it into Playboy car to make girls scream.

I like the Tumbler, but I don't agree that the Batmobile shouldn't be fashionable.

So you think it should have DVD and PS2? Or maybe tuning? :D

Truthfully, I found it annoying with there was a new Batmobile in each movie for no apparent reason. Seeing as how THIS franchise appears to be doing things right, I imagine they'll leave it basically the same... maybe add a few things, but it won't be totally different. I like the idea of it getting destoryed at/toward the end so they need it rebuilt... into the classic of course. That's the best idea I've read so far...

Agreed

One batmobile is perfectly fine with me. The changes to it should be subtle and not drastic.

Yep, but if they need change something, they should do this with some not so important details or even put there something new.
