The Amazing Spider-Man 2 How should the Goblin look???

Something akin to a green version of this wouldn't be bad:

which is why Colm Feore should have been Norman, in the first place.

Webb said in an interview that he doesn't want his Super villains to look like they walked out of a costume store. And your ideas look just that

I think its equally important to have a plausible or explainable reason for the costume and why they wear them rather than just have a great costume just to please fans but it may end up looking cheesy with no explanation
Agreed. The Goblin has always been a tech junkie. His costume in the movie will show this. While I enjoy some of the better "medieval" looking designs and ideas, I don't want that in this movie - it'd look like he stepped out of Thor 2.

In my mind, a good Goblin costume will both display Norman's lunacy and unhinged mind in a more subtle way, as well as illustrate his technological know-how so that it can give the illusion of a goblin and hint at a medieval armored influence while not looking like a halloween costume in any conceivable way. It needs to be a haphazard amalgamation of military-style gear, advanced technology and good old fashion bum touches (ie: the "hood" could look as if he took an old disgusting wool blanket or shop cloth and tore it up, using it both to over padding on his shoulders for whatever straps/armor he's fashioned, as well as a way to conceal/obscure his visage as he so desires).

This needs to be all without any care for craftsmanship on Norman's part - this should not be a "clean" and well constructed suit. This should look like he put it all together in a fit of blackout rage; it should be dirty, ill-fitted, jagged, and grease-stained. I want to see bits of frayed cloth and damaged armor, wiring/straps, and sharp edges hanging off him. It needs to LOOK violent as much as Norman himself IS violent. The genius of it all would be that despite it's appearance, it is an imposing suit that functions (physically, psychologically and technological) exactly as Norman intends.

We've yet to have a great superhero movie in 2013, IMO. Low expectations are mandatory.

Maybe. idk I think Man of Steel was borderline great. At least, I can't wait til it comes out on video.

This is about the closest thing to the comics as you'll ever find, IMO.

whatever they decide 1 thing is forsure.... fans will never be happy :(

The only two villains they've done so far that I've been satisfied with is Doc Ock and Sandman.

you were satisfied with sandman? coulda been done better imo

There's really not much for the look of Sandman. Green/black striped shirt and pants. Now if you're talking CGI, there's always room for improvement there.

Sandman visual-wise was done perfectly. Sand creatures are definitely on the easier side of CGI, so it didn't need much to make it look good. And what comes to him in his human form, it's straight out of the comics. now if only the script was as good as the visuals...

to comment on the GG matter, I want a moviefied version of the 616 Goblin. People should know exactly what I'm talking about, but in detail I mean a design that respects the original, but is tweaked to look a tad more practical, also with some real world grit & dirt added to the mix. He'd have purple on his clothes but in regulation and the rest would be tones of dark brown and a little of grey

As far as being visually accurate, Sandman is the closest by far.

The GG can be Shown in Evolving Process like The original look of Purple dressed with Green skin in First form and then Mutating into Final Huge Monster form with help of CGI like they did with the Lizard so we could get Treat of both versions .

He has to be twisted, I want a creepy laugh.
