The Amazing Spider-Man 2 How should the Goblin look???

Harry Goblin looks fine, but its Norman that should be different IMO

I'm fine with Harry's Goblin design, but I'm hoping for something inspired a bit more by Gobby's classic look in the comics for Norman.

I think they will want to make Norman look different at least for diversity's sake.

Remember..we've gotten our official look at Electro, but Goblin has only been teased. I'm itching on an official look at him.

I don't think Harry goblin looks that bad. I'm actually staring to like it.

I think this picture, this first one, confirms that he does undergo a Goblin transformation. He looks fine, it's grown on me too; they just not better give Cooper the shaft.

Harry looks like one of the flying monkeys. i guess that makes sense; given the original goblin's wicked witch-esque look.

DAT Glider though. :hrt:

I thought it would have been more daring if they went with the original mechanical flying broomstick like in GG's first appearance, but I guess that's just my nostalgia talking.

Oh yeah who can't forget that broom at first i thought it was a flying vaccum cleaner

The glider looks really good so far (from what you're able to see in the trailer)
I really enjoy how technological GG's stuff looks so far compared to the Raimi series. Raimi's in comparison, is a more stylized.

my friend and I really dig the new goblin design, I don't really see what the fuzz is about

neither do I, it's perfect design, maybe even better then in comics! Who care about comicbook characters really? I dont see the fuzz about it either.

Hollywood can make even better villains and name them as example "The Better Goblin" just for sake of story. We will see naration: The Better Goblin is stronger and more powerfull version of ordinary Green Goblin who will you not see just for pissing off the fans. Also it's not Norman, it's his son or maybe his grandson!

Well, I care about comic book characters. But I am open to change in comic book movies.

sure, but not in this way. Why not stay true to comics in good way, change some not important details, make different take on getting to events from comics. Something like Rouroni Kenshin did with from manga to live action movie. Dose anyone want to see Lord of the Rings or Hobbit not with magic, but with Force? Or maybe instead of Staff have Light Saber. Or have Hobbit not with mediaval clothes but with black leather costume...We can also change Smaug. He is dragon but he speaks, so remove him snout it will make him more believable :whatever:

Wow. Just wow.

Sorry but this is how Sony works. Staying true too original material or characters never way their way, they bit suprised me in ASM doing Lizard story which was not bad for introducing whole story and movie could be even better if they didnt remove some IMPORTANT scenes. But everything after ASM started feeling another Raimi *hit. I even swallowed bad design of Lizard just for sake of storytelling, because it felt as Ultimate Spider-man even if called it was Amazing, but this is going worse and worse. I loved idea having Harry in movie as friend of Peter, not as villain or another Raimi's New Goblin angle.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

:yay:

Right, because Sony is the only studio that makes changes from the source material. You're only fooling yourself.

Sure i know. This is why I go in cinema once or twice a year and usually it's as example were LoTR, later Harry Potter, and after that Hobbit trough years (and i wonder why...) Ofcourse they are some exceptions as ASM, but only because Spider-man is my favorite super-hero character.

Your loss, bud.

the problem with changes to a characters look is there usually isnt a good reason for doing so, there is certainly a way to give him a goblin look close to the comics, but for some reason Hollywood always has to put their stamp on something and alot of times its usually much less creative than what anyone of us fans can come up with. You want a goblin? turn his skin green, make his ears and nose grow, his eyes yellow and give him the purple helmet/bluetooth combo and boom done. this silly blonde hair troll hairstyle is dumb and some "creative" persons lame attempt at adding their own stamp to something they shouldnt be doing.
