So what do you guys think? How will the third film start things off? They say the first 10 minutes of a movie is very critical, and obviously if you compare BB and TDK, it's easy to say which movie had the best first ten minutes (which is really unfair anyway considering BB was a reboot/origin story)
Will we hear the same intro theme used for BB and TDK? Maybe a Bat symbol in a spinning dark cloud almost something that will hallucinate us with the formation of a "?" inside the Bat symbol?
But how will things start? Will we see a new villain right away? Or will the movie begin exactly where TDK left off? We see Batman on the run. Maybe years have gone by since Batman's return (i.e. The Dark Knight Returns). What would you like to see?
Personally, I can picture things starting off with a bang, Batman on the run being chased by the entire Gotham Police force. Wouldn't that be cool to see Bats flying around on the Batpod in a way we never saw in TDK? Whipping around corners full speed, going through building walls, hitting ramps, cutting through steep hills, I could picture the scenery being stormy and Batman blending in with the rain thus Gotham Police losing sight of him due to his dark suit, then Batman finding a safe place to hide, meanwhile Batman returns to a newly constructed Wayne Manor, we finally see the Bat Cave, and inside is a brand new Batmobile (not quite finished but I can see it being finished towards the end of the film) then as Bruce watches the news there are endless reports of a serial killer who leaves codes/riddles for every single victim (Like The Zodiac Killer)
Christopher Nolan thrive's on psychological themes for his movies. In every film, the real cool scenes, the best scenes, are those that are psychological, all driven by the actors, the dialogue, etc. I think it's pretty safe to assume that we will see a side of The Riddler we have never seen before much like The Joker in TDK.
So, Batman Begins showed us HOW he becomes Batman. The Dark Knight continued the story but moved things forward with WHY he is a Dark Knight, the third film should tie up everything and show us why Gotham really NEEDS it's one and only true hero, Batman.
The only problem is, how long till Nolan decides "Okay, let's wrap up this saga with one more story to tell."
I do think the third film will be much, much darker and more psychological than TDK ever was.
