I think it's easily set up for Blake to become Batman and utilize the hundreds of boys in Wayne Manor for any number of side-kick incarnations. You could have a flock of Robins in there, just waiting to jump out of the nest
Who says he becomes Batman right at that moment?
Ultimately it's like Ra's Al-Ghul said, 'Training is nothing. The will is everything. The will to act.'
Blake becomes Batman and deals with a renewed Mob that is first promising and preaching their rehabilitation. Naturally things are not so....enter Black Mask.
I wouldn't want to see Blake become Batman. Bruce has done that. I'd like it more to be just another story in the same universe.
What I'd to is make a dark thriller in similar style to Seven. Blake realises that he can't do much as a cop and he is very restricted at the end of TDKR which to me is thee perfect set up for any filmmaker. He uses Batman's gadgets and also uses to BatCave as his hideout/investigation area and that is pretty much as Batman-orientated as it would get from me. I've always liked the idea that Blake's story would reflect the more detective side of Batman which was not seen much in Nolan's vision.
I'd have Blake's opener set in a Gotham a few years after TDKR where the crime rate is still quite low but a series of bizzarre killings are taking place due to the work from Hush. Or he investigates a series of shootings from Deadshot. He would wear an armored costume (supplied by Fox) but it is a very rough costume with a mask similar to Bruce's costume in the beginning of BB without the cape. He still interrogates people and he infiltrates the mob and other crime rings possibly. Basically he does all the stuff he couldn't do in the police force. I would keep it with little action as Blake isn't a ninja after all.
It would just be something smaller than the huge scale we have seen in Nolan's trilogy.
I say he'll probably become a cop in a Nightwing costume that uses shock batons and basic hand to hand combat he learned from being on the force instead of wielding a gun to kill people. No acrobatics, no ninja tricks
Ultimately it's like Ra's Al-Ghul said, 'Training is nothing. The will is everything. The will to act.'
FIXEDif Gotham needs a new batman that means tha tthe justice system and police again failed and collapsed. which of course means that Bruce from BB and TDK failed .
it was never about cleaning up the city for 1000 years. it was about making sure that Gotham is able to deal with criminals without the help of batman. there will always be someone who steals a car and sells drugs. there will always be some mafia.
Wouldn't it also bring a more sense of hope then surprise if Blake became Robin/Nightwing? They already gave the old Batman a statue to remember him so I think it would be better if Blake did his own thing since he's not a ninja, he's not an acrobat, and Batman is nothing more than a symbol of hope to inspire people. Wouldn't be better for Gotham to see a new symbol of hope and let go of the past, move on to a better tomorrow, and not rely on some guy who convinced them Batman never died?
Blake is a trained cop so he has some experience in hand to hand combat. He gets a bow staff and becomes Robin, he gets shock batons and becomes Nightwing
A romantic comedy about Bruce and Selina's exploits in Florence.
Wayne: Enough with the shoplifting, already...!
Kyle: Nice...go 'head and broadcast it in Italian, while you're at it....
Wayne: Don't you think it's time you grew up?
Kyle: Like the world's gonna fall apart with one less cannoli in it....
Wayne: ....don't push it...
Kyle: Bruce Wayne! Bruce Wayne's over here..alive and well...!!
Wayne: ....can't take you anywhere...
Kyle: (bad Italian accent)....we got'a Bruce'a Wayne right'a here....!!

I think for Bruce's sake, she wouldn't go back to her criminal ways. I was kidding about her stealing in Florence, but what exactly would they do to pay the bills. I guess they would both have to learn Italian and find regular jobs.I wouldn't be surprised if Selina ventures in to Gotham every now and again. Even with the clean slate she doesn't seem like a girl who'd just stop her crime lifestyle.
It did make me laugh though how she was labelled as a master Jewel thief but the GCPD had a whole file about her and Bruce find out about her with easenot very "master" if everyone knows who you are and what you done.

You know, I had Ra's line about Bruce not being able to truly go underground running through my head after seeing him escape with Selina to Italy. But maybe that's the point, I dunno. I kind of figured Bruce used that clean slate gizmo on himself as well as Kyle.
I'm really interested to know how Bruce and Selina make a living now. What if he just stays at home while she goes out and steals valuable things.
in TDKR batman comes back 2 times .I think Nolan closed it up pretty well so that no one else can continue it, including himself.
If there was a continuation, it will have to be with John Blake as Nightwing. Batman/Bruce Wayne will have to take a mentor role.
He already used elements of The Dark Knight Returns. If Nolan does another Batman/Bruce Wayne Returns plot, it will kind of be played out and annoying.
