Who should be nominated? Keep in mind, generally there are only 5 noms for best picture... Here is a pretty comprehensive list of the films that will be in consideration for nominations. Granted, some of these films haven't been released everywhere. Also, try to remain objective and not to just vote for you "favs" or what have you.

Please only pick 5 films.

i chose the Departed, Children of Men, and Pan's Labyrinth.

Children of Men and Little Miss Sunshine are my two favs from the list. The Fountain and The Prestige however, my two favorites this year, aren't.

I deem this list unworthy.

I've seen The Departed and Children of Men and both deserve Best Picture nominations. I haven't seen Dreamgirls, Babel, or United 93 but I think those also are contenders for Oscar nods (although I think the Academy will pick Flags of Our Fathers over United 93).

Blood Diamond
The Departed
The Last King of Scotland
Dreamgirls
Apocalypto

This list is pretty comprehensive. Its based on what early reports are saying are the top contenders.

The Departed
Babel
United 93
The Queen
The Last King Of Scotland

I voted:

The Departed
Babel
Children of Men
Letters of Iwo Jima
Notes on a Scandal

The Fountain deserves Best Picture followed by The Departed, Children of Men, Pan's Labrynth, and Notes on a Scandal.

I voted:

Little Miss Sunshine
The Departed
Children of Men

I was going to thrown in Borat, but as much as I loved that film, I think Little Miss Sunshine just tops it.

Sorry, I was only kidding. I know you can't please everyone, and it actually is a pretty good list. I should mark my sarcasm a little more carefully.

The Departed
Children Of Men (if there's any justice)
Pan's Labyrinth (if there's any justice)
United 93
Notes On A Scandal (Accidentally voted for Volver)

why is there never an oscar waiting for Kevin Smith?:csad:

I voted for

The Departed
Dreamgirls
Little Miss Sunshine
Babel
The Queen

These 5 are getting the most buzz and are either winning and/or are nominated with other awards throughout the year...globes,directors guild, critics choics awards...ect...

Children of Men I didn't really see as a sci-fi film. I mean, I guess technically it was, but it was not a typical one ala Star Wars, Star Trek, Serenity, etc.

It should definately win Best Cinematography. There's no way you can ignore those tracking shots.

The Devil Wears Prada?

I like The Departed and Apocalypto for best picture.

This list is LAME!
No Casino Royale:cmad: :cmad:
Out of that list, I chose:

Children of Men
The Queen
The Departed
Letters from Iwo Jima
Pan's Labyrinth

Dude...that's exactly what I picked.
