"I am DOOM! What MODS Dare Stand Against Me! - Part 2

I wonder how Doom is going to explain his power? He fused with the planet and mastered it? Supernatural?

That's true. The FF get their powers from exposure crossing over. Doom will probably consider himself different.

Can't wait to see how they show Victor's mindset before the trip.

For the next reboot of the F4 and Dr. Doom, I'd like to see Doom delve both into sorcery and science. I think it would be interesting to see a an almost science vs sorcery aspect to a F4 movie.

I don't like magic in general as a narrative cause there's no way to write it that isn't just yelling words at each other. I'll be interested how they handle Strange.

Not sure what you mean since there's not simply one way to approach magic on screen. It's not just shouting spells.

Visually it's fine. I just hate when it comes down to the ending it's usually "I turned his power against him" or "I'm stronger now". Something vague we have no way to gauge other than the characters saying it's so.

I know there's junk science babble endings too but they usually try something easy to digest like " I reversed the gravity in his suit so he couldn't move."

Ok. I get what you're getting at now. As far as Strange goes I think there was an early interview that touches upon that and says they want to establish some rules for magic so it isn't just a vague idea of having the right thing at the right time and there being no logic to it.

He seems more sorcerer than no Technomage at this point. I saw a shot of him hitting Reed with a bolt of green energy.

Yes I think you are right. Looking at the last GIF, it seems like Thing is throwing a huge chunk of rock at Doom and Doom just seems to break it apart without using any force lightning or whatever. It's like he is pointing at the rock and it just breaks apart. Looks more magic to me.

He's a sorcerer but not in name like Q from Star Trek TNG is a god also not in name.

You guys are just so desperate for Domashev to be more like the comic book Dr. Doom that now you're claiming he's a sorcerer based on a half second shot in a trailer, why? Why can't you just be excited for the complete departure and reinvention?

Nah, you are just seeing things, mate. I don't think he LOOKS like comic book Doom. As far as his powers are concerned, the movie is not released yet, so we could only speculate on what kinda powers he wields based on little footage of him.

I see that your hate enables you to deny even the things that share similarity. ;) Not surprised.

With the green energy thing & the cloak he comes across as a modern science-created wizard/mage imo

People have formed far more elaborate opinions based on much, much, much less :whatever:

Those gifs look pretty cool to me, tbh.

He really looks like some God-figure, can't wait to see how cyberpunk Latveria might end up? I just imagen Latveria as cyberpunk due to Doom's look.

RAE072 has a point. Saying that Doomashev seems like a sorcerer is just a comment on his raggy robes and powers. You could say the same about Magneto. Doesn't really apply to the actual character or story. That's what I'd like to see next time there's an attempt at Doom.

And feeling that way somehow means being desperate?

I'm getting a definite sorcerer vibe from this version of Doom.

It may not be actual sorcery, and he may have taken a shortcut to it, but its very similar.

What? That comparison makes no sense. We know Magneto manipulates metal. He's in a plastic prison so he has nothing to use.

The assumption was that this Doom was some sort of technology manipulator but now he's fighting them on planet Zero where there is no tech to manipulate so what is he using to fight?

Maybe there is some machine we can't see?

The green energy is some kind of supernatural energy and he figured out how to use it to survive cause he's smarter than everyone.

He's not smarter than Sue. She has hyper-intelligence.

You'll have to ask him.

Maybe you misunderstood. I'm saying that labelling Doom a sorcerer is only a visual commentary on his powers and dress. It's not an actual shortcut to Doom using magic powers. He has superpowers he likely gained in the same accident as the F4. That's why I say you can make the same observation about Magneto. The pseudo science nonsense explanation doesn't matter in either case. Neither are sorcerers. It's a commentary on the visual only.

It's fine. Doom's a doctor. He'll just prescribe her some Ritalin to take care of that.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make him telekinetic.
