I think this is the image they are talking about. His mask does look damaged. The tubes look broken.

If you zoom in on the image you can clearly see the tubes are broken. There is a very good chance this is in fact the finale.

It just seems to me that this is kind of obviously the ending. I may be wrong so don't tear me apart just yet. This is a spoiler section so I'm not going to put tags on any of this because I'm sure you all know about all this information.
1. We know Batman and Bane are fighting in a sewer or the batcave. This is shown in the trailer and promotional material. We see Bane in the poster with the broken mask. There is rain around him so this most likely takes place in the sewer. In the prologue we also got a shot in the same sewer with bane and the mask. This will most likely be where Batman is defeated. Further evidence comes from trailer 1 in which Batman fearfully backs away from bane.
2. We also know the courthouse scene includes Miranda tate, Catwoman, the tumblers, batwing and botpod.
3. We have seen photos of the police celebrating victory outside the courthouse staring up at something. Most likely Batman in my opinion.
4. Finally we now see that bane's mask has been destroyed in this shot. We know that Bane is dependent on the mask for some reason. This of course would imply that Bane is now unable to fight. Talia may very well stab Batman her, but that does not change all the information that we have that seems to verify that this is the final battle.
It would be very odd if this was not the final battle. catwoman on the pod. Batman and the batwing chasing down tumblers. Bane seemingly defeated. it just all falls into place.

I don't see what you see, I don't see any tubes or mask broken here. Where do you see that?? All I see is Bane on his knees and Batman in front of him... This means nothing, and can be a part of any scene. You cant just say this is the ending based on your gut lol...

Ummm..... like I said zoom in on the picture. you know save it to your computer and use your zoom feature . The tubes are quite obviously broken! I also provided other evidence as to why this would be the final scene. I don't think Bane and Batman will have more than 2 major fights, so it's either this or the sewer fight. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is this one.

pretty disappointing to see Bane lose a fight because of his mask...better be a good fight scene.

I'd hate to see a batarang to the mask be the end of Bane

Those are broken tubes.
It is not misdirection. They shot what they shot. I can't 100% guarantee this is the last battle of the movie, but I can say it with 90% certainty.

There are two tubes coming off bane's mask. One is pointed toward us. It has clearly been disconnected. The bottom tube is also clearly disconnected.

if its the final battle its the climax. but is this the last 5 mintues? of course not. Nolan isnt just ending one movie. he is ending his trilogy. so after the action is over at least 20 minutes will be spend on closing every story.

after this Bane pic the chase starts. Catwoman on batpod,Batman in the batwing and 3 tumblers. it ends with the crashed truck .Miranda Tate is inside teh truck. Catwoman hugs Batman and Gordon asks him what he will do. he use's the batwing to fly with the bomb.

-Cats will ultimately be on Bats' side, but we will be led to believe she's a bad girl too, right?

-I hope we'll leave the cinema breathless, unable to speak. And yes, I do believe he'll top TDK.

No I think this is Act 3 - but it's like the Joker/Ferry scene. Not the final payoff.
