I Am Number Four

See how stupid you sounded about the lead of this though? Ugly people or medicore looking people aren't the only people with problems you know.

I heard Pettyfer is dating Dianna Agron now.

I'd love to have that guy's "problems". :csad:

Well, it looks like the cover of a comic book, so they already snagged about 2/3 of us with that.

Yeah that poster is bad ass. Hopefully the film conveys some of that badassery.

I remember Pettyfer from the Stormbreaker movie years ago. He was my pick for Angel when I heard about X-Men first class (before I knew it was set in thew 60s). He does a decent American accent too.

Yep, they went with the blue and orange combination for the poster. :o

Are you all making jokes or is Blue and Orange a big thing in the books?

Over the past decade blue and orange has been used on alot of movie posters. Its like Hollywood marketing departments 'thing' for some reason

blue/orange makes things stand out more

maybe the it thing but it is for a reason

New trailer.

Yeah this looks ****ing awesome!

I don't know why, but I really hate the title of this movie. It just sounds stupid to me. But Olyphant is in it, so I'll give it a try.

Of course, he was also in A Perfect Getaway, so he'll pretty much sign onto anything that pays.

I just have a feeling it's one of those movies that you'll forget all about months after its release. It just has that vibe.

Yuck, Trevor Rabin's scoring this movie. Whatever happened to Brian Tyler?

seeing how there is no way all 9(actually 6 since 3 are dead) will show up so yes i am sure it more can develop a 2 hour movie since it is based on a novel

Remind me too much of Jumper.

I've heard quite a number of ppl say this film reminds them of Jumper, but in what way I honestly don't know. The stories aren't even remotely similiar except at their most basic, like the theme of the lead character developing powers, falling in love, etc.

Typically a running time of 2 hours is reserved for films that are either extremely low budget, which this isn't at 50-60 million or a big budget extravaganza like Transformers. Hopefully it's 2 hours, but I'm not banking on it. Anyway the trailers are really nicely done all things considered. Usually films of this sort have a lighter tone to them than what we see here, and while that doesn't always signify disaster, it's never a good sign for films about someone with super powers.

So I read the book and it was very easy to get through. Then again, it was in the Young Adult section.

I think someone said a few pages back that it's like Twilight for the sci-fi crowd. That's a pretty accurate description. It should do well with that demo.

That said, I'll probably still see it since it was filmed in Pittsburgh.
