I still can't believe we're getting the origin of Venom

Many seem to be under the impression that Venom will actually fight Spider-Man in this movie. I prefer the idea of setting up Brock and having Venom make a small appearance at the very end. Keeps up the notion of a sequel, and leaves plenty of space in the movie for Sandman and the new Goblin.

I would be happy with this scenario. The movies look so good, I'd come back for a 4th film, easy.

After seeing '2' I always hoped I would see Spidey in his black suit on screen. Seeing Spidey wear the symbiote on screen coupled with the origin of Venom was something I never thought any Director would have the balls to do. It's such a dark storyline that targets the longterm hardcore Spider-Man fans who know about Venom and followed the '90's cartoon. You would think a Director would shy away from it since it might not cater to the masses.

But after seeing the trailer I still almost don't believe it's going to be pulled off THIS well. I'm in a state of disbelief.....

How wouldn't this storyline cater to the masses? Everybody and their dog knows about Venom. He's a hit with kids especially.

One thing I'm really hoping for is for Venom to be in the next movie, just because I want to see a cliffhanger where Venom kills Harry.

Think about it, Harry and Pete have just defeated Sandman, everyone's all happy, and then BAM a rusted piece of debree is shoved through his chest. Then we see a shadow fleeing, and for the final shot of the movie get a full shot of Venom.

That would set up 4 perfectly, and really make for an intense hatred between Venom and Spider-man.

Seeing those clips take me back to TAS, Venom Saga was up there with my favorite episodes of that series. Going to look so neat on screen.
