Infinity War "I Will Bathe The Starways In Your Blood!" The Thanos / Josh Brolin Thread - Part 1

That is all the confirmation I need that they got him right.

Imagine in an alternate timeline, 'good' Thanos suggests using Pym Particles to miniaturise entire civilizations to lessen the strain on the universe, instead of killing half of it.
Even if he tried to do it without consent, we wouldn't hold him in so poor a light in comparison.

So, what you're saying is that Scott Lang saves the day by showing Thanos "Downsizing" ?

Have to be the best CGI villain of all time.

Also, this movie has to be nominated for best special effects....The attention to detail on thanos is simply awesome.

Nice to see Starlin giving the thumbs up, reminds me of Brubaker's comments back before The Winter Soldier.

He's quite nerfed tbh. Especially his punch. His power doesn't stay consistently throughout the film.

his fist, his punch. It's weak af dude.

He is very measured in his attacks, he doesn't always fight with his full power. He can be ruthless when provoked, but is more calculated in nature than bloodthirsty.

It can't be too weak if he beat up Hulk.

That's what I mentioned in my earlier post. His strength is pretty inconsistent throughout the film.

Yeah I think it's more of him using the amount of strength necessary at the time.

And put spoilers in that quote of mine you posted, I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. Thanks bro

Yes, my thoughts exactly. He's more an intelligent fighter than a bloodthirsty one. The only moment when he really loses it is on Titan.

That's what I'm thinking about. I think they really nerf the hell outta Thanos in the Titan sequence. For me, he's extremely intimidating in the beginning of the movie. As the story goes on, he seems quite more and more vulnerable.
He even almost loses in the end.

I think he was still very much grief stricken and not thinking clearly.Once he arrived in Wakanda, he kind of flipped the switch again.

Don't forget to put those spoiler tags on my post you quoted.

I did bro. But I don't think you should be worried about that. The people that haven't seen this movie yet is smart enough to not bury themselves in these kinds of thread LOL

True, I just wanna be safe.

Agreed. It doesn't even look like CGI. It looks like ungodly well done makeup or a real being I guess.

Just a fun post merger thought, but what if having a galaxy teeming with so much life is what lures in Galactus to start feeding from it?

That shouldn't be the case as he has more stones as the movie progresses.

Btw is reality stone the most useless one ? I saw it turn guns to bubbles. It turns drax to rocks and mantis to something else but they all become normal once thanos leaves.

Sounds like the most powerful one to me, altering reality is probably the highest ranked super power to have.

I'm just waiting for the released/leaked clip of Thanos punching the f out of Hulk. It was jaw-dropping.

In theory yes.....but it seems everything thanos leaves, things he changed revert back to normal.

Just remember that Malekith almost caused the heat death of the universe with the Reality Stone.
