Lohan is gonna be 19 this year.... meaning she'll be 22-23 by the time they start filming SM4.

With the recast cause Tobey will be way too old for the role anymore...

I said it looks wise she has the red hair, the green eyes, and the body of comic MJ. And she has the party personality MJ is supposed to have... not the "girl Next door' Raimi portrayed her as.

Ok she could play MJ due to the age and everything but there is one HUGE factor that is going to prevent this girl from ever playing MJ, she's not that good of an actress. The films I have seen her in have been crap and that's largly due to her performance. She will never play anything more then stupid girlie high school movies.

Considering she's only been in two films with just a tiny part in one and the other is so obscure I don't think even think more than 10 ppl have seen it I'd have to say you're talking out the other side of your ass. I'm not going to say she's a great actress but if you're going to say she's bad at least provide a convincing argument for it and not something you made up. She's average as far as I can tell although she was terrific in stargate sg-1. Kirsten Dunst the actress who is currently playing MJ is average to below average as an actress. But that's not really as distracting as her looks which seems to be progressively getting worse year by year. If anything Kirsten should be the one that should stick to playing girlie high school movies.

Oh your serious. Well i'm not about to get into an argument over Lindsay Lohan. I'm talking on the other side of my ass because I have not enjoyed her perfrmances??? Well ok but only because you seem to be an expert.

I agree that Kirsten is a bad actress and that she shouldn't be playing MJ, I have been a supproter of that notion ever since she turned up in SM1.

However I can say that I don't enjoy Lindsay Lohan other then to look at. I believe that is an opinion and I expressed my opinion. So I can talk out of the other side of my ass because it's my ass and I can do exactly what I please with it.

Erica Durance would be my pick for MJ but I think she's like 24 now so with filming and stuff she's gonna be well into 28 by the time SM4 is released.

My point of starting this thread is point out that Lohan is the physical manifestation of Mary Jane Watson. Aside from her crummy career... she's got the hair, the eyes, the body to play MJ.

Kirsten Dunst is not Mary Jane... she doesn't look it.. and Raimi did a bad job of writing her character.

i still say that from the start shannon elizabeth could have been MJ, she has the height the hair, and the look. had she been in it, we definitely could have had room for Gwen, and done the comics justice.

Lindsey Lohan Might possibly make a good MJ, i believe in many cases, actors perform according to the direction that they r being given, and i think even tho Lindsey may not be the perfect actress, i believe that with the right direction in a Spider-Man film she could do great things.

Well actually it was a wig. I'm not exactly sure why they decided to go that route since Kirsten didn't have a problem with dying her hair. Anyway while we're on the topic of recasting, let's recast the director as well. I liked SM2 but I actually want to see a REAL Spider-man movie with the actual characters from the comic book, not some wannabe superhero movie pretending to be Spider-man.
