I'm going to launch a dream interpretation service

Last week I dreamt a front tooth fell out. Then as I went to find someone with superglue, two back teeth fell out as well. When I tried to glue them back in, they were too large and I panicked and dropped them off the edge of a large muddy cliff.

What does it mean when I dream that I am in league with John Connor and being chased by terminators that want to kill me?

Congrats, btw, on your new job.

I'm back Lunar Wolf,
The dream sounds like a rendition of what a child would imagine as he transitions from one mode to another. One way to depict a change in state is the cool down from playing and watching tv in the evening, then being told by parents that it's bed time. You were acting out the freedom a kid has "before their bed time" (that is, flying, then floating down into the clock tower and into bed).

i have a recurring dream, and i almost never have recurring dreams, about trying to put my contact lenses in and they just dont go in, and when i look at them they are just huuuuge and i think there's no way i can wear those but i keep trying anyways. and thats all i can remember really. :o
I've never heard a definition of "contact lenses" I was satisfied with, so let's work backwards on this one. Things are huge when, in the negative polarity, their importance is inflated; things are huge in a positive sense when it's a big deal, or the dreamer should take a closer look. There seems to be build up of an issue, that you keep attempting but do not expect positive results. What could this pertain to, in your waking situations? Keep in mind you may have outgrown something, and feel rightly so that "sticking with it" is pointless.

Some hints on contacts:

1) indicate the dreamer needs to focus
2) could be a pun on "contacts" or people you know
3) good and clear effect with the surrounding world

Which, if any of these, might have to do with your "contact" situation?

hi union_jak, this dream could come at the cause of two alternatives:

1) you're at a stage in life where the old roles you had and ideas you defended are passing away. Efforts to stabilize these outdated elements are not wise.

2) you may be keeping up appearances, in the sense that something felt very costly to you personally, but you took the blow gracefully and never once complained. A recent compromise of self may be at play.

Hope that helps.

Dreams like this tend to chronicle a waking situation. Terminators are robots, and therefore lack emotion and go through life on automode. These particular robots are killing machines, which may pertain to work-horse lifestyle or may be a pun on "this is killing me".

John Conners may represent your efforts to combat the situation that causes these feelings. If you have a plot we can look at it in more detail.

Thank you for the congrats :)

Last night, I had a dream where I took my sock off, and I discovered that my entire foot was black with gangrene... I remember in my dream, I was throwing a fit because they were going to have to amputate it. I think I may have been sleeping with my socks on when I had the dream...

I can relate it to this, thanks :yay:

I have a recurring theme in my dreams that involves travelling . . . always to very exotic/strange places and under strange circumstances . . . which are always different

last night I was camping out in the forest in a rural area of Greenland or Switzerland, or a combination of the both . . .

I dreamed I got hit in the eye one time and I woke up with a black eye what's that mean? Freddy's coming for me isn't he?

yeah ive definitely been feeling like im outgrowing some of my old habits, thankfully, but some are dying harder then others. i think the first option makes the most sense in that context. thanks so much, ive been thinking about this all day. haha.

It sounds like you were hit by something and it woke you up. If you didn't find something fallen on the ground, it may have been your own arm or you turned and banged into something.

Hey Tim,
The foot seems to be psychological shorthand for one's "foundation". It could represent the people and ideas you've grown up with, or other concepts that ground you. You may be having trouble letting go of these attitudes or roles, although it is definitely time to "cut them off". It doesn't mean you need to lose all contact forever with these people or elements, but you need to be open to change.

Hope that helps.

You need to chronicle these dreams with waking life. What are you going through right now?

Just out of curiousity, how do you interpret dreams? Is there a book you use?

I'd be glad to write a testimonial for you.

I go to hell or the devil is after me in my dreams. They always wake me up, sometimes yelling. The first time I was going up an elevator with John Lennon. After I got out of the elevator, I rode over a huge waterfall in a kyak (sp?). The river slowly dwindled to a gently sloped stream and I got off the river amoung other kyakers. Looking around the forest, I noticed the ground was littered with slaughtered cats as far as I could see. I then start slowly sinking into the ground as the other kyakers walk away despite my screams for help. I just know I'm sinking into hell.

More recently, I was in my bedroom and I look out my door and for whatever reason, I answer a question that I didnt hear. I see the mirror in the hallway. I say "Anna?" in a surprised, skeptical tone. I turn back into my room and look at a picture on my wall. The devil suddenly looks back at me (the exact face from The Exorcist) and screams in my face "YOU'RE MY B****!"

I keep a dream journal and I have a few you could interrupt for me :P

How about a dream where, for some reason, I'm trying to beat up someone. But every time I try to punch them, either the punch is too weak or I miss.

HV, please interpet this dream that I keep having:
I was in a school I used to go to and there were girls in the boy's bathroom and they were peeing standing up at the urinals.

Wow, I got an interpretation, and actually got one that actually has something to do with my life. Suh-WEET!!!

Maybe there's something to this dream interpretation stuff.

I can't remember any plots to my dream, I just know that I was running from a Terminator that looked like Kurtwood Smith (Red from That 70's Show)

Thats odd, I always dream that I'm losing teeth.

I'm paraphrasing this dream from my Dream Diary and it's going to get quite lengthy so I might have to do this in two parts, but anyways I believe this dream has something to do with my real life romantic issues. But anyways here is the dream as I wrote it in my diary:

The Two Seasons Dream

Winter:
I find myself sitting in an aisle seat watching a movie at the local movie theater. Across from me, and this is where it gets weird, is Sarah Brightman. We have a pleasant enough conversation which was interrupted by a man sitting a few rows behind Sarah. He almost resembled Truman Capote in a what with his portly physique and slicked back blond hair. (*Note from Future Self* I've deduced this Truman Capote look alike is less a real life person I've encountered and more a symbol from my subconscious of my own psyche.) He was good enough company, very jovial and he sang an operatic song to both Sarah and me. Well, the movie ends and as I'm walking through the lobby I exchange a brief glance with a tall, lanky man who has long, shoulder length brown hair. I then head outside where I see the portly man standing near a tree (Which doesn't actually exist in real life where our local theater is mind you.) using it as support. He is surrounded by a small entourage of people, all of them wearing dark suits and glasses. Snow is falling from the sky covering the ground, but despite not wearing a coat I'm not cold. I can hear the portly man sobbing and whimpering to himself which makes me feel bad because he was so nice and friendly. All but one of the dark suited men seemed totally oblivious to his state of anguish. The Concerned Man left to go fetch their vehicle, and as I observed the portly man I noticed he was going to fall. I was the only one to step forward as the entourage just let him fall. I was a bit angry with them and scolded them for not helping the portly man until after he had fallen. The Concerned Man came back with the vehicle and I told him in a very stern voice he portly man needed help desperately. I then headed for my mom's Jeep which was magically parked nearby.

Late Spring/Summer Season:
Then my dream decided to skip forward. It's either late Spring or Summer because it's pleasantly warm and green leaves are on all the trees. I'm in a car with my family and we're driving somewhere. We decide to stop at this bakery inside a quaint little house. I purchase a pastry from the woman behind the counter and sit on a couch near the door. As I'm eating my pastry, who should walk in but the tall, lanky, long haired guy from earlier in my dream. We exchange glances with each other again but this time we both smile at each other. He gets what he came for and leaves. I turn to the woman behind the counter and ask her if he's free. She tells me that he is so I decide to go find him. I walk around the side of the building where I do find him grilling food for a picnic my family is having. We greet each other warmly and hug each other tightly. The next thing I know, we're all alone and having a steamy make out session. A disembodied voice tells us we have five minutes. Then I'm sitting at a picnic table going through old print articles with my mom. She tells me I must have been surprised to see the tall, long haired man there at the family picnic, fairly gushing about the look on my face when we saw each other. This is when I woke up.

Demogob, thanks. I would really appreciate it if everyone who found help in this thread wrote one for me! Please guys; I've only got two so far, and I need at least 30 :wow::csad:

I study Jungian dream psych, but I find it inaccurate in many instances and turn to other sources as well. It also helps that my temperament is INFP; I have a talent for seeing the hidden symbolism within things. Not just dreams, even inanimate objects and stuff. It's my nature.

I go to hell or the devil is after me in my dreams. They always wake me up, sometimes yelling.
You may need to turn around and confront the negative elements in your thoughts and behavior.
John Lennon represents a higher ideal to which you could be aspiring. The upwards motion of the elevator also speaks to this higher calling. You may need to surround yourself with higher influence.

This aspect of yourself wished to bring a rut in your life to your awareness. Waterfalls symbolize a great outpour of emotion, or letting go. There may have been some event that caused you great emotional charge, but your reaction inflicts wounds on the side of yourself represented by the slaughtered cats. Kyakers are those who skillfully and gracefully navigate their emotions, reacting skillfully to life's bends and surprises. You lose contact with these abilities and cannot progress, because you are "stuck" in a way conducive to iniquity.

In dreams, mirrors reflect many things. It may show the unknown truths about one's own image, or allow the dreamer to communicate telepathically with his own hidden aspects. "Anna" most likely represents the kind, wise, nurturing side of yourself. You may be cynical and scoffing towards those concepts, though they exist within you. In some instances, speaking the name of someone you do not know in real life are portents of individuals you share a deep connection to.

The picture on your wall is also transformed into a "mirror". The Devil calling you his *****, showcases that you house malevolence. You may be answering good with evil, instead of answering with the good inside yourself.

Hope that helps.

I keep a dream journal and I have a few you could interrupt for me :P
Sounds like a plan.

How about a dream where, for some reason, I'm trying to beat up someone. But every time I try to punch them, either the punch is too weak or I miss.
Never seen a single entry for this one, anywhere. It's very common for young men to dream it though. Consider that you may be missing your mark because the waking situation that displeased you was handled passively. You may not be expressing your true feelings when they are negative.

Alternatively, they way you express displeasure may not have any impact, or is directed against something that is not the true culprit.

HV, please interpet this dream that I keep having:
I was in a school I used to go to and there were girls in the boy's bathroom and they were peeing standing up at the urinals.
It sounds like you need to learn how to share your decision-making power with other mental facilities at your disposal. The school is a setting of "learning", while the girls, as the opposite sex, represent the unknown aspects of yourself. These sides are shown releasing their negative feelings, pertaining to power issues (in a man's role). They may be feeling powerless against other influences you trust.

It takes time to become aware of unknown aspects and embrace their value. Just try to be open to "other viewpoints", and with time, surprisingly, the "other viewpoints" may emerge from within yourself.

Hope that helps.

We've already discussed terminators, but if you were running from Red there's a clear suggestion that "terminator" can be tacked on to some authority figure. Alternatively, it could be you who harbors this description, and this needs to be confronted.

Kudos for discerning that this dream pertains to love. This dream represents several sides to a very special, important person in your life. Although I do not wish to impose ideas of "soul mates" onto these dreams, I can assure you the individual will bear great significance in your own self-development and achievement.

Movie theatres are dream settings to house important messages of change or influence in the dreamer's life. The opera singer Sarah Brightman suggests that this message is about completing your need for love.

We shall see if it is "merely" a signal from your psyche. You need to believe me when I say it takes time, to know for sure if this is not a real standing person who bears Capote's qualities.

You and he "make music together", but this dream comes because you may miss the opportunity to entertain his love.

When the time comes:

1) Blond hair - angelic, virtuous, and higher thoughts and/or character
2) Fatness - the need to insulate oneself from the world; defensiveness and compromised feelings
3) Man: tall, lanky, shoulder-length brown hair. Some of these aspects will be symbolic, and some of them will be physical. When the time arrives, I expect you to report to me, toute de suite, which was which.
4) The tree - a symbolic representation of life's stages, including youth, marriage and death. This person may feel unable to progress further in life without you.
5) People wearing dark suits and glasses - the presence of ignorance and unawareness.
6) Snow - frozen, surpressed emotion. Note that you don't exactly "feel it"
7) Rescue - conquering the unawareness of the love you have for this individual
8) The choice of cars - the dark man's car is continuance of an inhibited relationship. The jeep is an open, alive march through life.

HOPE. THAT. HELPS. :cwink:

The bakery and the pastry represent "sweets" that are actually wholesome for you.

To be honest, this dream is inter-spliced with your memories and future memories. It needs to be kept safe, and interpreted through the natural course of time.

Some of it is literal; some of it is symbolic. It may not truly be possible to recover your memories, without knowing who the young man is that causes these dreams. Please take heart; his identity will be revealed at the right time.

Questions to ask:

1) Have you ever walked around the side of a building, in the same way you did in the dream?
2) Has someone ever spent a moment with you, even if they had to be somewhere else in five minutes (!)?
3) Pay attention from now on, when you here a voice in a similar tone say "You've got five minutes left".
4) Ask your mother if she remembers some funny fellow having a crush on her daughter. She will say no, but press her for memories.

So theres this lady in myn neighborhood who chases me if i get in even five feet of her children and accuses me of beating them up and molesting them even if there are 10 witneses who say "no he didn't she will keep to her belief and even called the police. However, she hasn't bothered me in months.
Now, last night I had a dream that i was walking past her house and i tripped over my own 2 feet onto one of her kids- but it relly wasn't her kid. A neighbor of hers- who in real life isn't really her neighbor rushed out and told me not to worry that she had seen everything and she knew I was innocent. I said to her that I was afraid of the crazy woman, and she might beat me. However, I have a freind who I'll get for backup so I went to that freind and I started to gush about how in retrospect i did it on purpose to get revenge and that if she presses charges i deserve it. My freind assured me that i was convincing myself of something that didn't happen happened. So we stepped outside and I was back in that school that I mentioned in my previous dream. I was in front of the bathroom and there was a trough full of comics and i began to sort thru them. Then I saw a laptop and my freind told me he wanted to show me a video on youtube. so i watched this video about mutant ducks that walked backwords. I can't remember exactly what happened after that, but I think I was in a void and an old man waS QUIZZING and teaching me. I don't feel confortable discussing the rest of the dream online.

I have a dream that I'm holding onto a book. It's a book that I really truly love that plays beautiful music, but this older woman with a cane is attracted to the music and starts to come towards the music. For some reason I try to avoid her, and think that maybe her appearance wherever I go is a coincidence. But I walk down a staircase and after I get to the bottom and am quite a distance away, I see her walking down cane-first. Now I'm kinda freaked out, but go up another staircase in the hopes that she doesn't follow me (the music is playing the whole time, I can't stop it). Suddenly she's coming up the staircase I'm on almost as if she sped up and I don't want to throw the book away because I love it, but I do want to throw it away so she'll stop following me. When I see her coming up that last staircase I wake up screaming.

Hmm, some legit stuff to think about there.

This dream interpretation stuff is rather interesting, I must say. Dreams have always interested me.

Hey, that was really great. Appreciated it! I found your interpretations all very interesting, particularly when the bulk of the dreams I mentioned happened a few years ago. I don't think I've done what the dreams have 'asked' of me, to be honest, I keep getting pulled into complacency in a lot of ways.

Here's another that I just had last night. Boy, are you going to be in demand! Yes, I will write a testimonial for you: where's the link?

In fact the dream is cumulative of all the dreams combined I've mentioned before. Off the top of my head, as the narrative is a bit sketchy atm, but the setting seems to be at Oxford St, a real gay community that I am often a part of. Anyway at one known pub, my old school friends are inside, and they have forgiven me for my past deeds (abandoning them during Year 12 because I'd spent a lot of time with my boyfriend, even when I was aware of it, but that HAD been a point of guilt) and one, whom I had a huge crush on, and mind you, the dream sort of rekindled why I had the feelings for him in the first place, is even kissing me and it tastes nice, and the three mates are joking and even including me in on what they're saying. Another whispers to me he regretted not staying in contact with me.

Then I am somehow flying, over the street, but I am in control. Loved ones and friends are there, and I fly fairly low over them, so they know it's me: I love showing off and surprising them, to the point of bouncing a friend on the head. Family is less surprised though, they are used to me, even when I tell them I can control the weather (this subconscious thinking comes from my writing a story at the moment about a psychokinetic character and sometimes, in some dreams I even am channeling him, living him and the fictional world I am creating) and to prove it, I gather the thunder clouds and walk to a spot where the lightning bolt will exactly hit, and I demonstrate wonderfully. The media takes photos of my playing with my cousins' beagle Mr Bond, as well as my baby cousin.

Later, I am in sea somewhere and there's a new island that's like the Fortress of Solitude, with shards of ice in the middle of the sea. We are explorers and we go in and we retrieve all those babies that have just been born there.

There's a separated but related dream involving flying. It seems to involve a cape, Superman's cape, or to be specific, one that needs to be my own. There's a woman who wants to disprove my abilities, including a classroom scene (at the deaf school) where there's a tape playing in front of class and I can mentally fast forward or pause it, and she doesn't believe me naturally. And also something to do with her possessing my cape and my needing to get it, even though I am reluctant because I don't believe in my abilities most of the time. This also seems a recurring theme and explains why I don't always drive to the destined spot, as well as when I get chased, with fear, I get caught and trapped, and sometimes die or get wounded. Teeth falling out is another recurring element that happens from time to time. It may be connected, too.

I guess that explains the complacency I mentioned earlier. It seems like I have often ignored this higher calling, about five years on, even though I am content, even happy with the way my life is. I'm not sure why. Am I wanting to find my own way?
