Honestly I think the best narrative it could have is opening right around what MoS got and then having a GotG3–level multiplier or higher that puts it at a much higher end total. Show those goons what MoS would have done if people actually liked it.

Had a thought. One that I just might be willing to place one of my patented Kguillou steak dinner bets on. James Gunn mimics the first Ironman with this movie ends with Superman revealing his identity to the world. That'd be a Hell of a way to kickstart this universe.

Geninue question. What about the Superman cinematography do you think stacks up? I like a lot of the concepts. But beyond the general color grading, so much of it is framed in the most obnoxious way possible. You have a really cool shot of Supes flying off into the distance, and then smash to a weird framerate of him that looks so unreal. I feel like a voyuer watching a lot of it.

Honestly, I’m a simple man. It has pretty colors and I like what is in the frame. It’s definitely not The Batman, but I don’t think that it needs to be.

Maybe I need to raise my standards, or maybe the recent lack of quality content for CBMs has lowered the bar. But I’m not troubled in the least by how Superman looks to have been filmed.
